Unfortunately I was one of many that got suckered in to their spin and voted for them, in hindsight I now see it was a mistake. They played the sacked 4 reinstatement card and now it has come home to roost! And where is the front of jersey sponsor they sad they would get and the big end of town they were brining on board. I saw with my own eyes on the new board whining about not being able to get a bourbon and coke in a corporate area that only served beer and wine! Surely there are more important things on their agenda than getting pissed at the footy!..that's what I know!

People have got to stop saying the board has failed one of it's promises when they didn't reinstate the sacked four, they never said they would reinstate them, they said they would look into reinstating them. I personally know the board has had many, many board meetings to discuss this matter. However, I'm told they have come to the conclusion that they cannot reinstate the four without risk of legal matters.

The jersey sponsor pulling out wasn't the boards fault, it was due to the consecutive, unfortunate publicity against rugby league when they were about to sign on.

Put a name to him and shame him and stand by your convictions in person you had the opportunity. Otherwise stop creating ****.

The new board is the best thing for the club, stop finding things to winge about, just because jeff robson is now backed by sterlo doesnt mean you have to stop bagging him.

Would you feel better if every second day Damian Keogh was on the radio or on Twitter talking things up.

Yes I would I would like hear D.Keogh talking the sharks up, say something keeping the supporters up to update.

...looked at what they walked into...

Yes, they walked into a ****storm. Created by persons at this stage who remain unknown or who have not yet been called to account.

They also walked into a joint that had just had a massive and lucrative development approved.

Fair suck mate. Fair suck.

...if they unite the club at least they will have provided something the old board couldn't at the end of their tenure.

Nice of you to acknowledge the period from 2009 until 7th February 2013 there Fitzy. As you point out, it wasn't all about the final weeks of their tenure, was it?

Sam, I have to back you up. This place is full of creating an hysteria. Maybe this board will turn out to be ****, who knows, but you certainly can't predict it at this stage, looked at what they walked into. If they unite the club at least they will have provided something the old board couldn't at the end of their tenure.
Look at what they walked into? Give over. They knew what they were walking into and garnered votes on something that they could never deliver.

Will up up cronulla still be played with our new game day announcer? Or are we going for the generic american match day experience?
Think the guy was announcing during NYC. Wasn't anything dramatically different, just a bit more upbeat. I have no problem with anyone trying to innovate on game day. Hopefully they can use Clinton Maynard in another capacity though.

From today's Leader.

"Unity" Board is far from unified on a lot of things at the moment - interesting times ahead.

Just as a means of a "Heads Up" the Club is required to hold its AGM by the end of February unless it has applied to ASIC for special consideration for extension.

Given that they are required to give at least 3 weeks written notice to the membership to advise that, and to table financial statements, I suspect we might be hearing some updates very soon... unless, of course, they do not take seriously the Club's constitution, articles of association and its membership.

We all love you Fitz... Is the present board doing a good job, all things considered. ( I know you were close to the old board ) apart from spending, are they doing a good job?

Finally got to read a copy of the Leader today and saw the back page story of us wiping off our debt. What great news! Or is it?

I then go on Facebook and there's a story now of a mystery investor that has done this and people are saying there's no transparency over the deal and the implication is that the current board are doing something shady. There are comments on there that are obviously from supporters of the old board.

Ok, I am not interested in the politics of all this. We said, they said etc. And I'm not a great one for understanding how businesses are run. But can anyone give me an unbiased opinion of how this debt has been wiped off and if it has been done properly?

Easy to just chuck money based on tomorrow's receipts at today's problems.

All that is happening is that future on-going profits are being committed or eaten up today to make things look all rosy as a distraction.

Let them eat cake!

Welcome to the world of Steve Noyce - great at spending money but not too crash hot at earning it.

Ask any Wests or Roosters supporter.
