I don’t think Trindall consistently defends our tryline either, especially not without help from second rower.

Keen for us to walk opposition up to our line a lot less

How do you think that applies for Trindall though?
Fitz would have had a plan to use him and believe it or not if don’t think that game went how we hoped it would.
Hazelton probably gets **** all if any minutes there too because we are just being run at pin our line.

If he is our 19th best player maybe the plan in a tight game is just that he probably can’t get on.

Not every game has circumstances that suit every bench player getting decent minutes. In fact if they do something has probably gone wrong.
But we have seen how things go when he used Trindall as a bit player last season , there is no game plan that i have seen that has Trindall come on as a spare half / loose forward that worked , so put someone on the bench that adds to the team the way we play .
As you say circumstances change in a game but we know Trindall isn't really part of a game plan , he's just in case . Just in case isn't a game plan .

Thought he was meant to be a defensive orientated coach, all we heard was the talk about how he built the 'Roosters Wall' blah blah blah
Well our wall is made of straw
I said a a couple weeks ago I think that is inflated. He seems happy for us to play an all out attacking game.
Been plenty of times we need to earn it a bit more.

Needs to teach Wilton how to defend as a second rower.
(And to save 6 response messages about it, yes teach Moylan to defend while he’s at it)

If we had a full healthy squad I’d agree
If Fitz thinks Trindalls versatility is more valuable to him that the next best forward available after a couple are injured then I’ll cop that

We’re lashing the bench forwards in other threads, presumably Hazelton is behind them (despite being big) and our forwards had enough tank so another big body wasn’t needed to rest them.

Trindall playing 0 minutes off the bench didn’t hurt is that game, imo

Most of the team are playing like they're afraid to get hurt.

Some of the fault for not playing tough footy has to come down on the coaching staff.

Well see i think he should have pulled McInnes earlier and put Trindall on as a ball playing forward , which he can do , and if he is determined to keep Moylan on . McInnes is a tough but he's becoming very one dimensional , in that position i believe Trindall offers more .

His bench rotation and his stubbornness in picking Moylan will also be our downfall not only because Moylan is useless but because it makes Hynes do all the work which in turn runs Hynes down
You must have thought Moylan was amazing last year when he ran Nicho into a Dally M

his half time talks are dreadful, his bench rotation is dreadful, his selection of the bench is dreadful and his loyalty to **** players is also dreadful

he well and truly has embraced cronullas dna
Don’t disgrace Flanagan like that snowman

I hope we’re not now seen as the warriors that’s fkd.

Honestly didnt think it would take a season and 5 games for people to turn on Fitz the messiah.
not turning on him, but he has coached 31 games now and is making some bad decisions

bench, players ect

bite the bullet

moylan 18th man, hunt reserves for hazleton, mcinnes on his last legs, find a new 9

The predicament we find ourselves in moving forward is we’ve just re-signed our backline who are arguably the most prone to the Ben Pomeroy level of error.

They all do fantastic things when they can hold on to it, so not saying it’s a bad decision but I don’t know how we go about fixing it. It’s no surprise the poor handling has been maintained through different coaches when the roster hasn’t changed.

Got to remember Fitz is still learning the coaching gig. Interested to see how he responds.
