I don't see the point to having a player on the bench if your not going to use him , just in case Hynes goes down or hurt isn't valid , you need a 4th player that you can put on to affect the game .

Pretty poor excuse to anticipate whether he needed to rest Hynes.
I don’t know what you want me to say man I didnt pick the team

Graham and Kaufusi were unavailable.

Coach thought Trindalls versatility was more useful that next available forward.

Hazelton doesn’t win us that game either.

He was going to use him if correct circumstances arose.

I don’t see the point in worrying about whether player 17 gets 0, 5, 10 or 15 mins

That’s not the point. The point is picking a player on the bench he didn’t use which means we played with a man down. Poor coaching decision

I agree that an additional forward wouldn’t have made a lick of difference.

Also agree why Trindall was picked but I’d argue that there was significant reasons to replace Moylan with trindall in this game. I loathe to say it but Townsend was hooked for les

What Moylan did especially bad though was tryline defence.

If youre subbing a half because half a dozen errors by other people keep making them have to defend tryline you’re not fixing the issue the team is having.

It’s great watching us attack but that enjoyment is beaten by the feeling of frustration when watching us defend and make fundamental errors week in week out. Pretty concerning.

I see us as a 7-10 place type team

Well you would like someone capable of actually defending them lol. Especially when they can do everything the player their replacing can do anyway.

Fitz is lucky Hynes is in the team, without him we have probably have won 1 game all year.

Should get the win next week.

I don't either , what i'm saying is have 4 players that can all contribute , have a plan to utilize your bench to it's full potential , having someone there just in case doesn't offer anything to the game being played .

I don’t think Trindall consistently defends our tryline either, especially not without help from second rower.

Keen for us to walk opposition up to our line a lot less

How do you think that applies for Trindall though?
Fitz would have had a plan to use him and believe it or not if don’t think that game went how we hoped it would.
Hazelton probably gets **** all if any minutes there too because we are just being run at pin our line.

If he is our 19th best player maybe the plan in a tight game is just that he probably can’t get on.

Not every game has circumstances that suit every bench player getting decent minutes. In fact if they do something has probably gone wrong.

Thought he was meant to be a defensive orientated coach, all we heard was the talk about how he built the 'Roosters Wall' blah blah blah
Well our wall is made of straw
