Ordinarily we cover 2 tries no problem
Yep. End of the day missed goal kick from in front killed us.
Ordinarily we cover 2 tries no problem
The killers are a bit soft, I would have gone with slayer.Remove the no d!ckhead policy for next year, get 1 or 2 offseason signings and turn some of our forwards into killers and see how we go
Hitmen will do hahaThe killers are a bit soft, I would have gone with slayer.
wouldnt want him back.Just a question to the masses .
If right now there was an opportunity for a straight swap on offer Fitz for Flanno , do you take it ?
I do like Flanno's style ( from other forum )

Some good remarks from Shane Flanagan in an interview with Dave Riccio of the DT.
- Dragons are looking at 4-5 players for next season and also chatting with 4-5 players of high end talent
- The club are aiming to bring in their own recruitment manager
- Flanno wants the dragons to be the best sports brand in Australia
- Says he’s knows what he’ll get out of his son Kyle, and believes him to be one of the best trainers at the club
- Says that when the side returns for pre season training they will face a new gym, new faces and a new beginning
- Flanagan: “we will be super fit, fast and powerful” + “we’re going to be ruthless, tough and hard to beat. If we have to win by two points, so be it. Then once we add some high level skill, we will still have our tough DNA with a sprinkling of X factor”
- On Tyrell Sloan: “I’ve spoken to Tyrell, my coaching style, my personality will help him where he needs to be” + “I’m going to invest a lot of my own time in Tyrell and on Wednesday’s he’ll do wrestling or boxing. We are going to expose him to some tough training”
- The dressing room and training will be open to former players. Wants his squad to know what it means to be a dragon and the history that comes with that.

I’ve been pretty vocal about how much I rate Flanagan.. he’s a deadset legend in my eyes and dragons are very lucky they have himJust a question to the masses .

I actually think some of our players (Nicho for 1) would gain some benefit from being coached by FlannoI’ve been pretty vocal about how much I rate Flanagan.. he’s a deadset legend in my eyes and dragons are very lucky they have him
To answer your question. Yes. In a heartbeat.
If your a player and Flanagans team approaches you to join them, it would be hard to turn down - he’s shown to get some of the games biggest players in the best form of their lives and still till this day follow him
I don’t think he has it..I actually think some of our players (Nicho for 1) would gain some benefit from being coached by Flanno
I think we lack some old style grunt across our players as a whole and Flanno would instill that
Fitz has that reputation but it hasn’t come out, so he either hides it very well or he is treading softly being a rookie coach
Hope Fitz really lifts the tempo and we become more hard edged.
Great Reply ChadThe obvious answer is yes, you would definitely swap them.
But it’s not a level playing field. You’re talking about a rookie coach with two year’s experience up against a Premiership winner with 8 years of coaching experience up until 2018.
To me, the swap question would be much harder to answer if you only went on Flanno’s first two years. He had crap players, probably worse than what we have now but he then used the next 5 years to gather his team together and put together a premiership winning side.
Fitz hasn’t had that opportunity as yet. Answer this honestly, did anyone think Flanno was a good coach in his first two years? Plenty on here didn’t think so. (Hi Teflon!)
I will admit I thought Fitz would have more success at this stage and I am disappointed in how we’ve fared over the last two seasons. But I’m still happy to give him time, can’t say for certain that he won’t win a premiership just yet.
Trent Barrett sounded like one tough hombre in front of the camerasI don’t think he has it..
Can always tell what type of coach you have by how they talk and what they say when they are amongst media let alone by seeing if their players are willing to run through walls for them and leave everything out on the field, don’t get that vibe at all from our boys
Fitzy comes across abit flat to me
Would love to be dead wrong
Have to remember it's only his second year.I don’t think he has it..

You think that the judge of a coach is how they present to the media? Watch the first 5 minutes of the Dolphins doco mate. Bennett basically says that he hates it and still gets nervous 35 years into the job, but realises it is a necessary evil so grits hit teeth and does his job as briefly and professionally as possible.I don’t think he has it..

Well in that case I've got some wonderful news for youWould love to be dead wrong

I reckon Bennet was pretty quiet early days.
Jack Gibson never gave away much, was very even tempered.

Yeah good luck with competing with the likes of Collingwood and the other big AFL clubs, Matildas, cricket.Dragons (nor the Sharks) will never be the best sports brand in Australia though - that is fantasy stuff
