Colin Best - Long jumper?

My daughter recently attended the Engadine Zone PSSA athletics carnival (for schools in this area), and the "Engadine Zone PSSA Records" were printed on the back of the programme.

A number of records have been held since the early 80's, but there was one from 1989 that caught my eye:
11 yrs long jump - 4.82m - C Best from Engadine.

Is this likely to be our #4?

Well his junior club was the Engadine dragons so it is prob safe to assume it is... He is a great athlete and has the right build for it.

A 23 yr record is pretty impressive. Not as impressive as that jump coming from a 11 year old.

World record for longest Engadine-born Sharks supporter on this forum is possibly me, unless SHARKSTER was born there - I know he lived there.

Doesn't surprise me at all he is an amazing athlete... Not so much these days but remember his blinding speed when he was on the wing for us?
