The worse coach ever was Anderson, also the sole reason we went from genuine premiership threats to also-rans.

hasler. henry. maguire??? would be my top 3 for the year. i put stuart as the worst coach of the sharks ever and anderson as the man that ****ed the club worse than any other coach. i think hes a better coach than stuart but diabolical in squad selecting. i thought elliot was quality and the jury is out on flanno still.

Will probably put his name forward for anything that pops up. I reckon he'll end up at St George when Steve Price's contract finishes

Yeah I mean we made the finals that's a huge plus for smus. Havebt there in 4 years. Even though we lost in the first round im happy we were even there in the first place. Especially after how ppl had us favourites for the spoon at start of the season.

If I could have any coach in to coach us it would be Lang.

We wouldn't of lost Kelly if we had Lang as coach

Ohhhhhh please one of the greatest coaches of all time couldn't keep him on a lease what makes you think Lang could

Hrmm how do I put this correctly..... Lang knows how to handle the indigenious boys better then any coach in the NRL.

Peach was the exact same as Kelly when he was a youngster at the sharks. And now look at him, a true gentlemen on the game with Langs teaching

What surprised me the most about the back end of our season was how we went away from what worked so well for us through the middle rounds especially the 6 win in a row block. What was winning games for us IMO was our ability to keep the pressure on through earning ourselves repeat sets. Carney and robson at one stage were leading the comp by a long way in there ability to role the ball into the in goal and our defence trapping them there resulting in drop outs. It didnt always get us points but it tired oppositions out and more importantly kept them away from our own try line for long periods. For me it felt like a concsious decision to go away from that. ie the coach had a hand in this. I dont think our halves were were unable to perform this play, as there were almost no attempts at it in the latter rounds.. It wasnt pretty but for me it worked a treat and for the life of me i cant understand why we went away from that...

Blame Carneys performance on origin/injury.
Smith had a huge work load in the absence of Gallen
Bakuya had some injury woes also.

I wouldnt blame Flanno completely for it. Think about it, when we were going well we had 1 key guy out in Gards and Toupo if ya call him a key guy. After origin, players were dropping. Graham, Smith, Bakuya, Carney, Gallen, Gibbs, Ross, Pomeroy. Injury is to blame for our poor final 8 games.

People talk about our "depth" in the back row etc. But when we were missing guys like Smith, Graham and Bakuya, our stand ins did ok, but not the best.

Poor execution was a big factor too. The amount of times the boys grubbered it over the dead ball line late this season was a joke.

You have to remember that Bellamy has had the assistance of coaching a team well over the salary cap for most of his career. And the legacy of that team still remains due to them being able to retain the Big 3. I think he's a good coach, but he still hasn't won a premiership...

So top 2 are Hassler and Bennett for mine.

Apart from that, it's pretty difficult to say who is a good coach, unless you've actually been coached by them or been in the club set up in some capacity.

i thought in stages this year and last year that flanno had us playing a good attacking style of footy. but i think he has no control over gallen. he has brought players back from injury too soon. there are too many players not playing to their potential. the fact we limped into the finals and recruited well ticks a few boxes.
