On Mick Gordon... I have a sneaking suspicion that they're lining up him to play right wing with Hayne at fullback. Largely for his goalkicking and DH running.

Dier will be happy about Matty getting a rep call up.

Looking forward to city v country always ends up being better then the one off test.

SBW pulling out killed any hype the test game had

Any hype channel 9 had anyway. They have got his knob sitting very comfortably in the depths of their throat

Hasn't made it yet, don't see why the Blues would pick him now.

Laurie Daley is the coach though, anything can happen.
Laurie will have his little indigenous hard on for merrit. I think he deserves it though.. True pace. I could see him sprinting across field to take down slater easy.
I was a bit disappointed to see Preston didn't get a green and gold jersey when he retired. Did so much for the game it's the least they could di

Why wasnt Brett Stewart picked ?

Injured - we all know he has the FB spot provided he is fit

what a waste of time this game is !!! i hear sironen is in for reynolds and tedesco for hayne...how the hell to tesedsco and sironen make it ????

Sironen is a good young prosect and actually been more than decent this year. Tedesco has been better than Moltzen at FB for the tigers. But neither will play Origin this year so it's purely rep experience for them.

Take down Slater easily you say???

Would Preston really be that keen on a token jersey?

Yeah would have been great to see him earn an Aussie call up but he didn't, get there. He still has plenty to be proud of.

Agree fantastic little player- bringing in Noddy at the expense of Presto's place in the team was both hurtful and in hindsight totally idiotic. Thanks Mr Anderson for that one

There are few people in the world I can't stand and Chris Anderson is one of them. I don't know him personally but he will never be forgiven for what he did to the Sharks.

dont rate merrits chances?

As I said, the goalkicking. But yeah, Merritt's a chance. Gordon plays a lot more physically though which is in his favour. Better tackler too.

Though I think Hayne to fullback might be the x-factor change NSW need. At his best he's as good as any of Qld's mob. With a bit less expectation than last time and some more maturity he could be the difference.

Just a hunch anyway.

Agree on Hayne. Plays much better in rep teams where he doesn't have as much responsibility on his shoulders like when playing for Parra. A lot of people say he's overrated which may be the case, but you put him in a club team with a good halfback and he'd be a different player altogether.

Does anyone know if the Country jersey looks half decent this year?

Can anyone confirm how many Sharks players are playing or have been picked to play this weekend?
