Hey guys.

Lifelong fan from NQ with no way to get to the fan day. Not sure how these days usually go but is there anyway one of you ****ing lucky locals could get a second poster signed and send it to me?

Il reimburse you and Im a member if its only one per membership number.

And to ease the interstate tensions Ive been a blues fan since Gallen was selected which was basicly the start of QLD's streak so don't hold that against me....

Why dont you interstate guys send an email to the club and see what can be done for you?

Might be suprised at what they reply with.

I tried as well.
I forgot my membership number last year for that locker room print and they took forever to get back to me.

that's a bummer. the club could benefit greatly by doing that little bit extra for the interstate members. almost guarantees repeat memberships by doing simple little things like being prompt to respond and helping out to provide some of the stoke that the locals get.

I couldn't agree more, Jess ciccia on twitter is normally pretty responsive, but she hasn't been on for awhile

It might not seem like a massive thing for them to do, I'm sure they would be under the pump to deal with memberships, fan days, season launches & so forth. So they might be a little swamped down there at Sharks HQ.

You're probably right Daz, they might be super busy, I am not sure if they are set up to do this or have the available office/room space but I wonder if there are certain parts or elements of the job that anyone could do that take up heaps of Marketing Dept's time. I at times could volunteer time to do "gopher type stuff" for them & I'm betting there are lots more local based supporters who would do likewise to ease the workload or ensure our members are happy by meeting their needs or expectations.

Maybe myself & others leave our phone numbers with the Marketing Dept, from there they have a list of people to call when they are swamped, as I said at times I or others have some spare time, whats the worst we can say, "no I'm busy this time but call again", hopefully they have a healthy list of volunteers that one way or the other can help them out at all times they call, food for thought?

This idea was floated last year at the sharks platinum shoot and it got shot down in flames, I can't remember why.. Anyone else there, can you remember ?

really? that's weird. doesn't Damo Irvine work for free? what's wrong with getting dedicated fans in to help out? that's some grassroots **** and a great way to help solidify the foundations of what is supposed to be a proud local club

do elaborate. there must be heaps of room for grunts to do some basic tasks. you're going to mention insurance or workers comp aren't you.

All work places these days are bound by many restrictions.

You mentioned 2 things that are of massive importance, not to mention training and induction at places of work (evac points and emergency procedures etc) all takes time and money.

Not to mention rules on confidentialty and potential of working with children.

Sometimes its easier to say "thanks but no thanks".

***in-A man. As a regional interstate member who rarely has a chance to get to a sharks game we definatley get a ****ty deal. If I didn't love this club so much I could definatley find better ways to spend $210 a year to join up the fam.
