Is he contributing to our slow starts? His runs have much more impact after the softening up period.

Wouldn't mind starting Talakai at lock and then having him rotate into the front row and McInnes comes on.

I won’t blame Cam for the loss for that dropped ball but **** me it was a bad omen for the game.

While overall he was good that was a big contribution to exactly what we wanted to avoid - piling on pressure to ourselves early.

An interesting Q. Maybe a big bodied hard working Finucane type to eat up some early minutes then unleash cam? I do agree he has more impact later.

Kaufusi Hunt Talakai/JC starting middle does interest me a bit. Get some energy out there early. Even Williams at 13 tbf even though we lose that bench monster, we’re ****ing him around anyway if we bench Cam too

He’s our skipper so won’t start from the bench, the drop ball certainly didn’t put the team in right frame but have to learn to defend errors and show greater line defence, no way a second rower should be able to grubber and recover, where was our fullback covering.
he doesn’t have punch early I agree but neither does Toby or even Nikora early don’t have punch
Nikora is good on a tired line running holes, but not rucking it up from deep

He's no Paul Gallen 2.0 that's for certain. Can this guy do anything else apart from tackling? Doesn't offer much in attack

I think if anyone’s earned a bit of a slump in form, it’s Cam. The bloke has been 100% heart since he got here, he was always going to burn himself out at some point.

I don’t mind the idea of moving him to the bench for a little bit to reset/rest a little.

Look how many times he is at first receiver and organising players that should be nico. Cam is our best player by a long shot.

That’s the standard job of a 13 these days to be fair.

It’s an uncomfortable truth but for all the iron-man talk, he’s got a bit of the Toby Rudolph’s about him when he gets tired.

Its the traditional role of the lock. He links the 2 edges. Its how Murray plays, its how Yeo plays.

Only in the wrestle era did the 13 become purely another front rower.
