He got a fine
Feels like less than 10yrs ago we had to eradicate shoulder charges because player safety. The slightest hint of a shoulder charge was an auto 2wks & straight to judiciary if it crept high.

Turns out a couple beers in I misread the punishment for second charge shoulder charge though, which I’m glad

Another 3rd charge is 3 weeks though, and any other charge will be bad too so Fifita needs to be careful

Brit still a little wriggle room

Was 2012 when Inglis almost killed Dean Young. Now it's treated like nothing again.

That and Inglis batting Sandow away like a fly are the first two examples that always come to my mind.

Still think they need an exception in the rule for midget halfbacks, purely for the comedy.

Ideally I’d have liked to see it remain in the game with harsher punishment for those who get it wrong

But hard to go that way with examples like Inglis and Molo - safer option is probably just to say no (unless it’s a fullback coming across on a winger for some reason)

That's right. Personally I'm cool with shoulders that don't go high. But if it was a life or death thing 11yrs ago that needed eradication it can't just be a fine now. We wouldn't just fine a spear tackle cause its been a while .. I'd hope.
Fifita was going after BHU because he'd put a good tackle on him earlier.

Coward's attempt at a square up.

Glad BHU laughed in his face.
Yep noticed that too. I love Dave Fifita on potential but he takes a lot of short cuts.

Yeah allowing shoulder charges opens up way more opportunity for a shoulder charge to go wrong & the potential consequences of that too much. If we could give shoulder charge licenses to the guys good at it & not have any boofhead throwing them.

This is not a criticism so should not be taken as such

Briton has seemed quite lately

I say seemed because he is still posting good numbers with metres and tackles

I take it as a good sign we are not overly relying on him on the edge and that other forwards have started to step up along with our entire back line

A poster mentioned that Nikora's role and type of ball he is getting has changed since Trindall came into the team so there might be something in that

Yeh I think maybe his team mates around him have lifted.

isnt Nikora on Hynes side ?

Seeing as Nikora hardly gets involved in backline plays I don’t see how tricky would be involved with Nikora too much
