yep. parra are a shambles

give me us and our turmoil and no sponsors over that club anyday

If one club had to lose their license right now so an expansion team would join they’d have to be right up there in the candidates

Unfortunately not. They certainly deserve to be, but instead they've had a brand new stadium built for them and seem to just get away with anything forever (including being completely **** for a long time now on the field and off the field).

To me they have the worst ****ing branding etc but the bogans love them.

Yep if anyone is to be relocated it will be one of us or Wests. I don't think there's much doubt about that.

Personally I would **** Melbourne off but that won't happen.

Not saying they’d be picked just that’d I’d expect (want) them to be at least considered. Many clubs wouldn’t even be considered.

Can't believe it has been roughly 9 hours since you posted that and Chad hasn't said anything.

Blayke Brailey labelled 'hottest property on the market' as eight NRL clubs circle

The 2019 season hasn't even kicked off yet, but the player market is already in full swing for 2020 and young Sharks hooker Blayke Brailey is at the top of the list at eight clubs.

Brailey, who was fighting young playmaker Kyle Flanagan for the utility spot this season, is a step further away from establishing his first grade career after Cronulla re-signed James Segeyaro on a one-year deal.

It puts him down the list as Cronulla's third hooker option behind brother Jayden and the club's latest retention.

With limited opportunities in the Shire, The Australian's Brent Read said rival clubs are waiting to pounce should he want a better crack at the NRL.

''This guy is the hottest property on the open market at the moment,'' Read told Sporting News.

''He's off contract at the end of the year. There's about eight clubs in the mix for Blayke Brailey.

''The Sharks want to keep him, but I think they are going to find it difficult because if you listen to good judges around the traps, they'll tell you he's a better player than Jayden.

''There's club hovering all around him. We're talking Canterbury, Parra, you name it - clubs want this kid.''

Asked of what Brailey's chances were of staying, Read wasn't optimistic.

''I can't see him staying,'' he said.

''There was talk of him playing on the bench but they've signed James Segeyaro so there is no real opportunity for him.

''I'd imagine he's quite frustrated. I know he's got an injury at the moment but his path to first grade has now been blocked, not only by his brother but by James Segeyaro and I'll reckon he'll be elsewhere next year.

''They've got those salary cap sanctions as well, it makes keeping him even harder.''

A fortnight ago, Brailey told Sporting News he had no plans of leaving his junior club and he wanted to be one of the faces of Cronulla's second premiership side.

"I'm just focusing on the Sharks at the moment," Brailey said.

"Growing up in the [Sutherland] Shire, I want to stay here, play here as long as I can.

"Hopefully I win a premiership here with my brother, which would be special.

"[Morris has] been saying all the spots are open, so I've just got to keep training and I'm sure he'll pick the right team."

Brailey isn't the only young hooker attracting attention, with Sporting News' NRL Leaks reporting Dragons gun Reece Robson is on the radar of Canterbury and North Queensland.

It's a similar scenario to Brailey's as Paul McGregor has a liking towards hooker Cameron McInnes, keeping Robson in the lower grades.

Both players are off contract next season.

"Clubs are interested in good player who is coming off contract."

What a scoop.

I’m one sleep out of the bender and a few years out of the boots - I’ll put my hand up. Would at least put more effort in than Klemmer in the trial

I reckon we need to look at putting some muscle on older Brailey and put him at lock to accommodate younger Brailey at hooker.

I reckon Jacky Williams has that spot sewn up, but if he can play on the edge then absolutely.
