why on earth would the club play a sunday game at home in those black jumpers. when they ran out against parra with on, all i wanted to do was boo and go home. they got thrashed. they ran out against tiger got thrashed again. i was hoping the club would change, do they this black looks mean or something, is their a link to the club that we can complain about their lodgic.
all they got to do is play in out 67 jumper for away games and our retro jumper for home games, or have a fan competition on designing an away jumper.
wake up marketing department.

Fancy,

Completely agree with you on this one - I loathe the black jersey.

I take the view though that we only need one jersey - home or away it's the same jersey - the only reason I can see for having two jerseys is to try to get people to buy both. It's seems to be a cheap merchandising stategy that adds nothing to our image.

We have two credible jerseys - the "V" and the hoops. Let's just leave it at that and stop tinkering with this all the time.

I equate this with a young kid when he gets his first car - the first thing he does is twiddle with the stereo or get new seat covers. Rarely do they look under the bonnet and start getting the engine running properly.

Yes, the Sharks need to work on their image - but fiddling around with logos and jerseys is not the way to do it. I've said a fair bit about that in this thread:

http://www.sharksforever.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41495

We've got to get our hands dirty and rebuild the engine first!

What we need our Marketing department to do is to stop focusing on Merchandising (Selling) and focus on Marketing (Making desirable).

There are plenty of the black away jerseys still available in the Sharks online store but they are sold out of the home jerseys - that has got to tell you something! :p

I quite like the black jersey. IMHO its the best looking away jersey we've ever had. I even bought one in the clearance sale last week.

It is just a marketing tool, yes. But considering that all of the other 15 NRL clubs find it worthwhile financially to do, I'm guessing it probably is beneficial, so I really don't have a problem with it

I actually dont mind the black jersey. It is 1000000000000000000x better than our old white away jersey.

I dont know why you would choose to wear that one for a home day game though.

Hottest day of the season and we let the opposition wear white and we wear black. Stupid.

Anyway, it made little difference in the end.

The team has to wear each jersey a set number of times, thats all there is to it.

NAAA this is not the fact, they are trying to flog the black ones as they have heaps that they are stuck with, if you want cheap gear ask the club if they have any Puma jumpers left lying around as they are the same as the ISC ones but have the Puma logo on it but they can not sell them as they under agreement with ISC if you live in Melbourne go to the Puma factory outlet sales you can pick them up for under $30 I brought a number of Sharks caps for $5.00 and other gear for next to nothing

For starters, they wouldnt even be allowed to wear the puma ones, they're contracted to isc.
Nice try though

we'll have the black one on this week for sure as the home jersey would clash with the gold coasts home strip.

i agree that the black one should only be used at away games where colours may clash but that really is only 1 or 2 times a year. its not the worst looking jersey but the traditional blue should always be worn at home. but if regulations need to be met with this specific amount of games worn thingo then i suppose it needs to be done. jersey colours arent the biggest issue at cronulla right now

I am not saying that the players are to wear the old Puma jumpers I am saying that the club would have old stock from when puma supplied gear if you notice in the sharks shop a lot of the cheap polo tops etc are the old cooperate gear from Puma of course the players would not be allowed to wear Puma gear but the fans can
