Who says Ricky and Noddy aren't getting on? It's all speculation. Ricky resigned Noddy for two more seasons last year remember!! If he wanted him gone he would have let his contract expire at the end of last year. He wont go this year and if he does we can kiss this season goodby. All this talk is just BS hyped up by the brain warpers (media).

i may be wrong, but when noddy re-signed last year, it was b4 buster came back and played well.
this is all speculation mind you, but maybe now, to put it coldly, sticky just doesnt have to put up with people he doesnt like, and/or arnt in his plans.
just hope it is resolved soon. the whole team will suffer for this, the best we can hope for is that it gets sorted quickley and start moving forward.

surprising to hear noddy and ricky hate each other, especially after going to all those lengths to convince everyone they were sweet when ricky came to the club. even if they do hate each other though, kicking out a senior and key member of our team halfway through the season cant be beneficial, can it?

If thats correct then how tough would it be rocking up to training everday, playing your heart out & busting your guts on the field and feeling that the club your busting your ass for doesn't respect you and never supports you. :birdno He's been inspiring this season, it is sad to hear this if true (not saying your lying greatwhite, you only say what you hear). I really feel for him, though this is business now-a-days and Ricky wants to win now, and that is what makes him one of the best IMO. He's a shark, and you know what they say about sharks "sharks never sleep"!

Spot on Pomeroy. He has been close to our best this year. He has been with us since 2002 has only missed a hand full of games in 6 years. I won't hide the fact that I'm a Kimmorley fan, but how much do they expect to put the bloke through. He gives 100% every game even when he's out of form or has niggling injuries. Why re-sign him for $250k for two more years, late last year when they knew they were on the lookout for someone to replace him. I'm not knocking Ricky's coaching ability as I think he is in the top 3 coaches in the game, however the way he goes managing his players is all wrong. He should not be even doing it, it should be up to Zappia. Thats why I'll bet he pushed for Zappia as CEO, he'll do what he's told to do by Ricky. Who keeps leaking this stuff to the media ? Why are we always in the paper about negitive stuff ? One step forward ( Tupou) two steps back (Kimmorley, Ryles, Ross) for us every year it seems we go through the same sh!t. After the vibe that Gallen & Bird gave away on the footy show last night, Kimmorley will be gone shortly and I think the players have been advised. Shame on the coach and the management and the club for their unfair treatment of a loyal player as Kimmorley. Thompson only played 39 games for us and look at the send off he received. Let the bloke go out with some dignity, let him play the rest of the year, if he doesn't it will only ruin the rest of the teams year, if it already hasn't. Just on Barrett, he is always injured and only playes about 12 games a year, I would much rather Ryles than Ben Ross at least he plays and is not sitting on the sideline due to lack of brains and please purchase a quality hooker and some outside backs, but thats just my opinion.

yeah, obviously ricky isnt gonna drop kimmorley and not re-sign the captain when there is no apparent successor. unfortunately contracts mean nothing these days, and the very next year you could be on the out. i have faith in ricky, i will back his plans even if they dont immediately seem successful or reasonable, but its sad to hear kimmorley will go. i would hate to see kimmorley wearing a dragons jumper after all he has given us. but thats the nature of the game, if it happens so be it.

and another thing, imagine what all the other guys have going through their heads now,
I have a contract for 1,2 or 3 years, but anytime the club or ricky wants, they can trade me to whoever they see fit, even interstate.
How are you meant to love your club, get bloody and bruised for your club, after watching one of your clubs leading players get moved through no choice of his own in the space of a cpl of weeks.
and i dont think there is any doubt, despite all of our opinions, that all of the players love playing with noddy.
this is going to affect the confidance of alot of the players.
IMO its cr*p!

the players have no choice, they have to get bloody and bruised for whichever club if they want another contract for the next year. gallen said on the show it would be a huge shame if kimmorley goes and he didn't think it was a good thing that players leave mid-year.

Really well put gummy, I was going to cobble something together myself but you pretty much summed it up.

maybe, it can be Gavin. I'm a Kimmorley fan,. but... if its not working, why wait for 09? We have Seymour/Green/Bird who can play halves.. Seu Seu even maybe... so u know.. maybe its time for a permenant change to the 7 jersey.. and i'd prefer it to happen now rather then later, so we can concentrate on 08!

Unfortunately, Kimmorley, is always going to be under the scrutiny, i am from the region of Northern Eagles, and let me tell u now, Kimmorley to them was the biggest mistake to ever happened to the club... i dont think so myself... but unfortunately he doesn't get alot of praise when due

i think noddy might be gone, because even ricky said in the paper
(telegragh) yesterday that he was willing to let noddy go to improve the team, (and try to make a run for barrett i guess). thats not showing any support for kimmorley at all, and if i were him, i'd want to go. if they swap kimmorley for ryles, i would play seymour at half and run birdy in the six for the rest of the season, because blake green has shown in his only first grade game this year, that he is not ready yet.

Gummyshark is on the money there for sure. Sadly whether it is Noddy or John Morris, Scott Prince, Cooper Cronk, halfback is just that position on the footy field that everyone looks at and to, you play like Scotty Prince has been, your a worldbeater, you play like John Morris, your dreadful, you play like Noddy you somewhere in between with good and bad points. I think he needs to be praised whether you like him or not, I don't think even the biggest haters of him on here, could ever question his committment or effort on the field for our great club, he does give 100% every week, and has done so his whole time at our club, but I will admit he is past his best, but in saying that makes up for it in other ways, with kick chase, defense etc.

I think given his committment, professionalism and heart alone, there is no way a player of his calibre deserves to be treated like this, if it were an everyday office job and this talk was around the office, you would also have cause for unfair dismissal, in those circumstances.

I just watched that footage, and for mine, I doubt the players want Noddy to go this year anyway, I don't think he should either.

I watched Nz league news and they said Cronulla were wanting to move Kimmorely for Barrett and Ross for Ryles and that they wouldn't swap Noddy for Ryles, Bennett is keen on Barrett but would also take Noddy, Wigan wants a playmaker if they are to let Barrett go, a 1 for 1 swap i suppose..........

dykes was ricky's prefered option to re-sign..noddy wasnt..dykes got a better offer from the UK so he took it...this was before seymours comeback..no one else was on offer so ricky had no choice but to re-sign noddy..

we will go better if seymour is at 7 because last year he showed he can set up tries and score more then we are doing now..and seymour will be better after the back end of last season

time to move into the future...need a breath of fresh air
