Not impressed with how he's been playing at the Titans.

And after my very vocal moral stance about how he treated the club without respect and should apologise, it would seem hypocritical to vote yes until that happens.

I cant see why it would be fair on bird or the club.
the club would just seem like the biggest hypocrites out
and Bird was told he wasnt wanted and now he is :S

He treated the club like dogs balls. I dont see any reason why we should chase him over anyone else who may be available.

He will come back for the same reason we keep coming back. Because he has unfinished business.

At least i hope that is the case.

As far as I'm concerned the club made a big mistake in the way they dismissed Bird in the first place. I wouldn't consider making a move for Bird hypocritical on the Sharks part at all (after all, they've already done that by signing Tim Smith out of oblivion) but rectification of a mistake that never should've been made in the first place.

(Obviously I voted "Yes" in the poll)

i agree with your comment.
i believe sharks were more influenced by pressure from the media and NRL to sack bird but now with a new admin and the current position the sharks are on on field personally resigning bird is a good idea.

He was made a star with us and he should stay a star with us.

I suppose I can just shove my fingers in my ears and scream "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" like the rest of you and forget what actually happened.

Him after today's performance... having HWMNBN back- well, it wouldn't exactly hurt having a SOO and Kangaroo back in the side.

Nuh, il be right. For the price he would want, we could do so much better. Whats wrong with our 2nd rowers anyway? I don't think at five eighth he is all that spectacular.

Plus i wouldn't want him for the reason we sacked him.

I suppose I can just shove my fingers in my ears and scream "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" like the rest of you and forget what actually happened.

the club had to sack him, because he got himself in a bad situation and made the club look bad and then refused to let the club in on the truth of what happened and were forced to sack him. i think they made the right decision and would be devastated to ever him in sharks colours again

Like I said, we're not the same Club who sacked him. I think bygones could be bygones.

And yet Manly and Melbourne can respectively stand by their stars even though they both have the talent to move forward without them. Who proved to be the most innocent of Bird, Stewart and Inglis? Bird, of course, yet he was met with hell fire and brimstone. The reality...

Bird made a mistake by lying to police.
The police made a mistake by accusing Bird something he was innocent of.
The media made a mistake by playing up the findings of the Police (who were wrong)
The club made a mistake by sacking Bird to preserve a relationship with a sponsor who was already on the verge of dumping the club anyways.

You see, everyone screwed it up. Not just Bird, everyone - so why not build a bridge and get over it? It seems like what we need is someone who can lead. Bird is a leader.

Why would you want him back?

He is not exactly setting the world on fire at the titans, :gal:

no no no no no

Because it's obvious the Titans are not his ideal club. Not to mention it's sorta hard to "set the world on fire" when your halves partner, who is arguably the teams best strike power, is out injured. Bird's attacking prowess may not be up to standard as it was a couple years back, but god damn can he hit hard in defence, something we also desperately need - a solid defender who's going to stop an opposition's roll on.
