Fitz mentioned a members poll done by the club so i thought i would do a poll to get the opinion of all the members on the site.

Do you want greg bird back at cronulla in 2011?

Why are we even wasting our time talking about it for ****s sake. Where is it even mentioned that Bird would consider coming back??? Why would he come back??? He appears to be happy on the Gold Coast and they would be mad to let him go. Why do people live in a fantasy world here??? We have to be realistic as far as recruitment goes. There is no point in going lets chase player x or why arent we chasing player y when there is not a snowballs chance in hell of either of these players remotely coming here.

I'd have a look at the next thread mate. Not exactly a reliable source, but a source none the less.

My humble apologies to every person I have offended as it appears I have not done my research. In saying that, Rothfield and Bec buzwords, almost as reliable as weilder. Now that it has been established that there is actually a rumour I would love to see Bird return, my favourite shark outside of ET and Gallen. It's one of those things really, you dont want to get your hopes up and it will be frustrating if it doesnt eventuate.

I was watching the Titans game the other night thinking he doesn't look like he plays with the same passion and mongrel that used to with us. He's not playing bad up there, especially against Melbourne last week, but he was content to be overshadowed by Campbell and just sit out the left against the Dragons, doing little more than running between two defenders on the off chance he'd get the ball and attempting to offload through the line with no success.

I'm yet to read this Bec and Buzz stuff but Friday night I thought seeing as he's only on a 1 year deal at the Titans, the Sharks would be mad not to make a play to regain his services. Its pretty much a completely different Club now to the one that sacked him so there should be no need for issues that occurred between Greg and the 'old Club' to be rehashed.

So **** yeah! Bring back Greg!

I have an idea, can we put a sharks forever letter together from all of us pleading with Greg to come back? Believe me, I have written him letters in the past and he really does read, acknowledghe and appreciate them, it really could influence his desicion to come back.

we dont need him, if he really wanted to be with us he wouldnt have screwed us around whilst he was under investigation. and recruiting him will not change a thing he is not going to be some huge change to the club.
