Even without Slater I would still say Melbourne. Munster is a fantastic replacement

Just out of curiosity why don't you rate Brisbane on the same level?

Boyd >>> Munster
Milford >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Green
Cronk is slightly better than Hunt
Smith >>>> McCollough.

IDK if the gap between Smith and McCollough is big enough to throw Melbourne over Brisbanes spine. Milford has just about been the form player of the comp and he's only getting better.

Sides and teams that click too early can actually be detrimental I sometimes find. Canberra are playing so hard and fast this early I wonder if they will be the same in rd 26.

Whereas I find us building nicely to the point where things will come together at the right time.

This is exactly how I feel.

People are getting cut that we're not putting 50 on teams this early in the year, but who wants to be peaking in Mar/Apr.

I wonder how teams like Parra and Tigers will be going in a couple of months.

Our spine will be up there come finals time.

Cowboys spine is consistently excellent, individually talented and know each others game. They ignite their entire team.

Sharks are getting there with standouts from Chad & Barba, Jimmy & Ennis been a bit meh this year but will get better as they all gel and gain confidence in each other

On current season/current form Storm aren't a consideration for me. Yes Munster is a gun but Cronk & Smith have been well below their best and blake green is blake green

I was thinking to myself who, in current form has the best 1,6,7,9 combo in the comp..... And it dawned on me? Is it us??
on paper we are close. Chad is our weakest player on paper but probably our form player

I have Dugan in at right centre on my blues side. He always seems to have a dig coming out from our own end too.
