Mate I'm talking about people who use it as an excuse - it's like people I see regularly on the streets of Melbourne who push their pram into traffic because they know it's going to stop.
Those people are just morons, this is a bloke trying to organise what could be his last contract in his chosen profession. (Muppet part was a bit harsh sorry mate.)

Woah, calm down!

I'm not angry I just think it's ridiculous some people expect someone to make a split second decision on their livelihood because they want to know if he will play for their favourite team or not.

It's just that the line is annoying and cliche.

There are now single 19yo dudes with no kids using it.
What do you work for?

In general people are working so they can look after their family and or themselves.

There are even people who don't have a family that work away trying to get themselves into the best position as possible for if a family comes.

I know it's a cliche but at the end of the day this is going to be the only real income for a lot of these blokes.

Well, they could just say that they are trying to set themselves up financially, not that they are looking after their family.

Does it make any difference? It might also be side factors like being able to spend more time with family due to less travel commitments or a better place to live. If they want to look after their family that's their business. It's not like he is trying to get out of a contract (on this occasion it is fair to be pissed off). You've got to remember these blokes would get pestered for info non stop.
