Puletua hasn't done sh!t since 03. Priddis would bring something, but I'm not sure what, and don't see the need to take the risk with Kinga and De Gois.

i think you are talking about frank puletua not tony puletua. tony was captain of the panthers and is a very solid player in both attack and defence. frank is the one that scores a try every 3 seasons

no, i think he knows who he is talking about. i agree wit him. he is way overrated and overpaid for what he does. tony could have been anything but has gone to noting

ch9 commentary has said the pom has come out and said he cant pass the ball to his out side man...he doesnt know how...

yer, he broke the line a few weeks ago and had 2 find brown on the outside. he looked like a rugby forward when he passed. he nearly bombed the try by throwing it behind brown

i dont think we need to look at signing any forwards we have an awesome forward pack chewing up plenty of meters, my eyes light up when i think of the prospect of wesser as our fullback i believe it is a position that needs to secured and there isnt many better than wesser , simmo is doing ok but it doesnt seem to be his most suited position at the moment

even brown at fullback would be fine, but simmons can't cut it at fullback

Carroll, Wing join PM's XIII
Foxsports

VETERAN duo Craig Wing and Tonie Carroll today joined Sharks' Ben Pomeroy in earning belated call-ups to the Prime Minister's XIII rugby league side.Wing, Carroll and Pomeroy will travel to Port Moresby to take on Papua New Guinea on Sunday week as part of a PM's selection which will now be captained by Mark Gasnier after previous skipper Craig Fitzgibbon was ruled out with injury.

Wing will start at hooker, replacing in-form Wests Tigers No.9 Robbie Farah, who is still being troubled the hip injury he carried through the final rounds of the NRL regular season.Carroll and Pomeroy will come onto the bench and replace Fitzgibbon (finger/ankle) and Newcastle forward Steve Simpson (knee) in the team.Braith Anasta moves from the bench into Fitzgibbon's spot at lock in the starting side.

The match, to be played at Lloyd Robson Oval, gives players a chance to push their claims to make the Australian side for the October 14 Test against New Zealand in Wellington.

Good stuff Poms, should do wonders for his confidence to be named in this side, nice to know he is in the selectors thoughts. Being named on the bench for this match means that he will more than likely spend some time in the forwards, he has plenty of size and will handle playing in the backrow without a problem.
