Smith is a better defender in the ruck but Lewis definitely hurts people when tackling.

I hope we don't get Heighington and Gallen can play 80 minute of tight back row and do what Jez was doing.

i agree here...with Jez leaving hopfully it will allow Gallen to play tight in the middle for the full game.. keep him away from the edges and being another 5/8/playmaker.. - in the middle is where Gal made his name and rep - need to get him back there and focusing on his role!

Heighington i think could be our 2nd front rower from the bench after Fifita - allowing gal, lewis and graham all to play 80 minutes...

flanno is having another cracker of a recruitment drive and the offseason has only just begun for us!

Be tempting to forget about Rhino and Ryan and go for Brett Stewart. He's a bit of a nob though and has some serious questions over how well his legs will hold up mid to long term

Or forget Brett Stewart because that's a pipe dream and pick up some of their cheaper, less vital to the squad players. Like Jorge Tafua & Steve Matai.

Mate, I think the days of relying on Gall for 80 minutes week in week out are over. IMO He & the team would be better served playing 60 minutes with the half hour break in the middle.

There's huge outrage amongst Tigers supporters, hope there isn't a last minute change of mind at the club

His second-row teammate Chris Heighington is expected to join him in the
shire within days, to bring the total of former Wests Tigers players in the
Sharks line-up next season to five.

The Sharks refused to publicly confirm the signing last night because of
delays in finalising the release of Kiwi second-rower Jeremy Smith to the
Knights, which will free up the salary cap space for both players.

Rest assured it's a done deal and will be formalised within 48 hours. Ryan
could not be contacted last night but sources have revealed he has given his
word to Sharks coach Shane Flanagan.

From what I have heard, Beau has already signed the contract and will announce it when the club has finalised the offload of Jez to Knights.

i like the fact that with the pending signing of Beau, that means we will have plenty of publicity on channel 9 through the footy show but also that Gallen is a regular guest/co-host on the Channel 10 version..

plenty of Sharks in the Media can only be a good thing for the clubs image and bottom line!

so both Footy Shows will have Sharks players as pretty much a weekly panel member :)

Isn't it funny how Rothfield has stated the magic 48 Hours time frame again...

We all know how that worked out last time

Good point you raise here. Hopefully that will mean some extra cash from sponsors too. Obviously not the the point of Brisbane on the back of FTA games but it is a start.

Aren't manly offloading Brent Kite to help their situation?

there premiership window closed end of last year.. until that point i tipped em to win 2011 2010... now they appear to be imploding ever since gibbs and fifita were released... seriously fafita or gibbs alone is equal if not better than adam blair... our premiership window has just opened in 2012, 2013 2014 is our time.
