He can still play a full game, just not a good one. And he is injury prone. My main concern is head TBH. I just don't think he knows how to win anymore. He plays well when it doesn't matter or less is expected of him. I don't want a guy like that playing fullback.

we just had one for 3 years, another year wont hurt us

I think that we just need to get some procedures in place to protect him under the high ball and also protect him in the defensive line.

The Bulldogs did this very well when he was playing for them. We need to cover his weaknesses and take advantage of his strengths.

It's just that protecting our backs under the high ball hasn't exactly been our strength for a fair while now. I agree that he can catch a ball but he gets driven back a fair bit too.

We need our boys accidentally getting in the way while they 'try to catch the ball' a bit more. And getting in there and being ready to stop any backward momentum once he's caught the ball.

Be good to see our fullback this season at least stand under a high ball. 2 plus years of bounceeeys has aged me.

The bloke is a gun under the high ball and made Gordon look like a school boy in comparison last year.

I didn't get to see any of the nines but it sounds like a very positive hit out all up. No injuries and missing the finals on for and against. Onwards and upwards towards the real competition I say.

If the nines were any indication, Townsend looks like he's in for a good year, loved how he steered the team around. Cleeland looks like a good support player/defender. Capewell reminded me of Aubusson. Leutele looked slow, I wouldn't be mad if Bird and Beale started as our centres this year.

Kept my eye on alot of former Sharkies playing for other clubs aswell, Murphy and Isaako looked good for Bris, Murphy was in everything on day 1. Addo-Carr had a shocker on day 1, Knock on's, penalties, dropped balls, got caught in goal but his 2nd day was much better and he is QUICK. Curtis Scott looked good too, didn't realise how big he was. Ayshford was a mess and Robson, well.. What can you say?

I thought Robson actually had a good tournament, scored a couple of try's.
Got the ball early to Johnson and co and made couple of solid tackles.

I didn't see too much, but at one point I saw Robson take a drop out. It was pretty much exactly what I expected...

I really hope it's not because "he looked tired in the nines and that's only 18 minutes long"

More to do with the whole of last season. And the season before... And...

I really hope to be proven wrong. Barba did look fast and elusive, but not interested when he didn't have the ball or in heavy contact. It's like the Fafita's. If they could get their heads straight, they'd be representative fixtures.

BTW... How good did David look? Last season I thought he had the potential to pass Andrew as an overall player.

It's like a game of tip and run cricket. People are reading far too much into it.

kidding me right?

david looked terrible, like incredibly fat and tired after a run

and he could never tie his brothers shoe, let alone be a better footballer than him

That's rubbish mate. They're identical twins, it's only logical David will be as good as Andrew.

To be perfectly honest, I thought David was a strange choice for the 9s. He has always been a bit bigger than Andrew and a bit slower. I do however think that 4-6 rounds in when the players get used to match fitness he will be good and can be an excellent bench option for us.

it was a terrible decision to take david to the 9's when we have a big strong quick mobile guy built for the 9's in Myles Tauli
