Any chance we could go after Jackson Hastings? Could slot into 9. Yes defence maybe an issue but could be very handy to have. Obviously $ might be a worry.

Don't know what it is about Hastings and I base this on no info but he seems like a knob

Defense is definitely not the issue with him, he's a really good tackler. He's got to be a bit of a douche off field or something though, and like not everyone is going to be a good hooker. Has some plus sides though, like he's a solid goal kicker I think.

Not surprised.
Never seen a professional specialist hooker not being able to pass left to right. (Or right to left I can't remember which one it is).
It's terrible.

Des can only cop so much mediocracy.
He's not Flanno.

Agree 100% on the bold bit. His side is struggling for 4th and Flanno's side is almost no chance of slipping out the top 2.

Good call, Paul.

I was indirectly referring to his auto first grade selections of flips like Robson for 3 or 4 years.

There's a poster on the other forum (not Egg's gun poster) who is claiming he works closely with guys in the biz and says that Robbie is ours for $175K a year on a 2 year deal.

I find that very hard to believe.

As in done deal or there if we want him?

How highly does Egg rate this poster?

As much as I hate Robbie and don't want him here you have to take that if it's available

Dunno how true that 175k would be, maybe year one with tigers topping up 80% of the contract but I find it hard to believe the NRL would register him or his contract for season 2018 for only 175k.

Unless we've done some deal with the tigers where they will top up both years contract rather then having to top up so much just for next year. If that is even allowed

It was only yesterday I was told brad Arthur was having a meeting with his senior players to gather their thoughts of having him at their club

Just read on league hq, Souths paying Tom burgess 500k a season are shopping him around and willing to pay some of the freight to get him of their books for next year. Havnt watched him too closely this year always been a fan of the burgess boys.
