I'd like to know when cherrington actually agreed to terms whether it was before or after flanno knew about the retirement of ennis. Not sure when flanno found out about ennis retiring

Either way it's still a strange signing. If cherrington was agreed upon before ennis notifying the club it makes its even more mind boggling considering we have nu and Brailey contracted for next year. I would have thought brailey would take mcilwricks spot as newtowns dummy half.

Can't see cherrington costing us a great deal but like I said in another post flanno doesn't seem like the coach who would go out and sign someone like Cherrington as our 1st choice hooker next year.

I think I heard Flanno say something like he'd been discussing retirement with Ennis for about 5-6 weeks.

It is weird.

my mate is a tigers member...apparently said cherrington good young hooker but crap in defence....thats all we need not

Maybe Flanno is having a midlife crisis and has decided just to go all out attack.

He's doing the football equivalent of buying the Ferrari, despite the impracticalities it poses when trying to drop the three kids at soccer training.

Fairly sure were looking a little too far into this Cherrington signing.
Will more then likely see as much of him as we have seen Matt McIlwrick play this season.

As long a we dont sign Farrah im happy with anything Flanno comes up with.

On a side note, the perfect replacement for Ennis would probably be Hodgson from raiders. Is he tied up long term now?

Credit to Levi, is battling a back injury that requires surgery and rest but cause the Knights are so down on troops is still soldiering on.

Cherrington can't tackle from what I've seen. Same with Levi.

I assume he is just there as NSW Cup coverage. Losing an 80 minute hooker for next season I reckon we have to replace Ennis with 2 on our books.

You never know though, Lichaa decided to turn himself into a strong defender with that Bulldogs off season, it's not impossible (Shame he couldn't learn how to pass). I'm not going to hold my breath though.
