I think that if you are will to become a naturalised Australian you should have the right to represent state and country, but that's jus my opinion.

Put it down to the fans to an extent. Australian fans couldn't give 2 hoots. I was at the double header in brisbane a year or 2 ago and the atmosphere was ****. They did mexican wave and the Samoans and kiwis were going nuts but as soon as it come to the australian section most couldn't care less. They even went to the extent to boo the **** out of Paul Gallen and the rest of the blues when the names were being read. Pathetic really. Made me wanna go sit with the cuzzies

As an Australian I find it hard to support the Australian team.

I dislike most of the players week-to-week and they win most of the time anyway. The story might be different if the Poms had have taken it to us a few more times over the last 30 odd years.

In saying that, I don't get up for Origin either.

There you go. Less money for origin, more for international. Origin becomes a stand alone game and we increase the amount that are played each year internationally. I for one would love to see the players representing their actual countries. Imagine milford and semi running out for their nationality instead of the maroons or australia. Wtf, wasnt josh maguire playing for samoa now the maroons? The whole thing is a farce and as soon as the competition becomes more than a 2 horse race the excitement and passion will return

Individual sponsors for each players jersey would be a good idea. Instead of giving them gate takings or whatever, let them earn their own money

Sarcasam aside, Samoa has been a lot more competitive since the introduction to the four nations and we all know Mal doesnt have the time anymore to pass on his footballing expertise to the Kumuls. I watched him fox the other day and however he kept the maroons job for so long is beyond me. He is the deano of coaches (just stirring ya deano :p)

If we wanted a 30 yr old I'd just save some cash and go after Soliola.

Titans signed an English international centre for next season.

I would like to see the sharks take a similar approach and try sign some good English talent.
