Wasn't Watmong off contract? Hayne was on a lot but if you look at parra they only have 5 well payed players in Norman,Sandow,Hoppa, Mannah and Watmong the rest would be on normal to small contracts surely.

Reckon they have plenty of space left.

Pretty sure Watmough had one year left on his contract with Manly.

Starting to wonder about parramattas salary cap

Last year parra had 1 million worth of their cap being paid to players who were no longer at the club from when Ricky Stuart was at the club. so between that million and Jarryd Haynes money I would say they could easily sign 3 star players.

Would love Daniel Tupou . He is such an asset , he can turn a horrible attacking set on the line to a good one by just kicking to him.

I like Tupou but I'd only want him if I knew Feki was going to play centre. Otherwise, signing him probably means Gagan doesn't get a start unless there are injuries and that would be a shame. Would rather use the money elsewhere.

he tore it chasing hayne

he tore it in the trial

and he has torn it scoring a try from dummy half for the jets
Yeah, so that's like 3 hammies in his past 5 games or something. Not an inspiring record, no way I'd be rushing him into a 1st grade spot until he proves he can stay on the park in NSW Cup for a few games straight.

If anybody has involvement with the club can they get them to check a couple things.

Strength of hamstrings in relationship to quadriceps muscles.
Length of hamstrings. Are they flexible enough, too flexible? (they are both issues)
Are glute muscles activating properly.

I would assume the club would be onto those, but may not be.

The thing they may not be onto is involvement of the sacroiliac joint.
There isn't much out on this that i am aware of but a mate of mine is doing a PhD on lower limb injuries (we work in the same field) and he has found that an AFL player (i cant say who and at what club) who is part of his study who has repeat hamstring tears has insufficienct force closure of the SIJ joint (sacroiliac joint). When his lower back is very strong (preseason, he is fine) as the season goes on strength training isn''t as large of a focus and then it becomes unstable again, lots of players will lose a couple kg as the season goes on as well (a lot of muscle). In this case it is always at the time when he re-tears his hamstring. This is definitely something that needs to be looked at and monitored if it appears to be an issue along with the other things mentioned above.

I am the Lurker

No but really I know this forum is public and all and it's great people like the Lurker and the Gummy are exposed for being absolute frauds with half-information but on the other hand I feel violated. Like I'd just been groped by Bec Wilson.
