thats the million dollar question isn't, he has seemed to have matured off the field in the last year, by all reports he has trained very hard in the off season and you can tell that by his fitness, now where that is down to the coaching stuff, himself or both is another question.

When he was dropped at the beginning of last year he absolutely ripped in for wenty and earned his way back into first grade, people in his situation can easily go of the rails not give a **** and ask for a release etc etc but there is very good signs in his off field dedication from what I've been hearing. Again not sure if was a matter of Arthur pushing him, him wanting to change or a bit of both

The problem we would face if he were to come here and slack of again, we will have the slow over weight sandow and that will be no good for us

Good points. I think we would need a complete attacking structure re-haul if we had him and Barba which I'm completely fine with . Flanno just does not have the skills , and it's depressing we have this guy for 3 years.

If Flanagan sees out his full contract, it will mean he has the side performing well enough to secure his job. Like any coach, he will get the arse if we're not performing. We're currently not performing.

I reckon we need a new coach, and to also implement a youth policy. Three players in our spine are 31 or over. Flanno's problem is his lack of proactivity. It will prove costly.

Most players in Flannos team are over 31! That's the problem

I agree. I give the Club some credit though - they've got quality young replacements ready for Ennis and Gordon (Brown and possibly Bailey at 9 and Holmes at 1).

Call me cynical but after the past few years I have no faith that there are set pathways for those players. I was even surprised Holmes was picked on the wing for round two.

thats right, it was you!!
Wasn't BWB spruiking Sandow as well? Or was it just some jokes about the pokies? I recall replying to him on both accounts ha ha

I really don't mind Sandow as I have said in the past, better player than the criticism he cops suggests and a tough little basterd to boot. Has the courage and creativity we are lacking in the halves, isn't timid like Barba, is not afraid to have a go and if it doesn't come off he will chase his ass of to try and put a big hit on or something. Might still have some brain snaps in his game but we are used to that from our current players nways...

sheeps everywhere
Isn't it funny that once a player gets the Snowman tick of approval everyone comes out of the closest lol

Yeah so am I. I was pleased to see Flank say that the plan with Brown was for him to be Ennis' understudy. And it seems like Holmes is destined to succeed Flash but that's also why all this Barba -> fullback chat brothers me. It would put a great big roadblock in the way of Holmes playing his best position.

I really think that we've got a young core of an excellent team though with Wade, the Fifitas, Brown, Bird, Gagan, Feki, Holmes, Bukuya and hopefully Beale + Barba.

It seems a lot of the big name halves are finalising thier contracts at the mo which may free up some good young halves currently waiting in line. This is in my opinion the only way we're going to end up with a good half.

How long are we stuck with Barba and what's he costing us?

He is s costing us **** all for the first 2 seasons.

Yeah arent broncos paying half or more?

He is out of form. Its not like he cant play football. People calling to move him on already ****. Of our 6 tries he's got 2 assists.

I think it's a bit early to lay the boot into barba. Yes he has not met expectations yet but we need to give him some time.
He will come good I reckon. It's not just his form that has lost us those 3 games, the whole team is down on form and confidence.

Barba was always going to struggle having Robbo as a halves partner. He hasn't played very well but I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt for quite some time yet.

Have you watched Jack Bird play , he is a 5/8 , great ball skills and reads the game very well , if given the chance to play at a higher level he will improve , played 5/8 in NSW cup on the weekend and was outstanding with Murphy they combined well . We won't win a premiership by running in has beens all the time, time to plan ahead and bring on our youth , the Tigers are a good example , they are premiership contenders in 2017/18 if they hold that team together.

He did more work with that long ball than Beale for vals try too.

Flanno came out and said the the salary reported in the media for barba was grossly over estimated. Obviously it could be bs but it leads me to believe hes on less and the Broncos are still paying a huge chunk.
