When is Townsend off contract? Would anyone take him back? I wish we hadn't let him go in the first place.

Even though hodkinson guided his side to a GF and was apart of the NSW winning side?

He ain't DCE but he ain't a mug. He's a good player.

Is DCE the only player that can "guide us to a premiership?" How did he go in the GF last year?

We have tried to get the best # 7 available and have come up short.

I am sure we are now trying for the next best.

My opinion is that Chad has gone away and become a better player.

He is not DCE or the like but not far off Hodkinson as a halfback and probably at half the price.

At least he has a solid kicking game , which is a major plus. He is also running the ball much better now and can kick goals.

He may be our best option going forward.

Townsend got a good write up last week (or the week before), but I saw the game and he had both good and bad momoments.

That said, he's been class against Parra so far. Has set up a couple of tries from kicks (one grubber, one cross field) and his support play has been excellent. Earnt a couple of line breaks from them, seemed to have a bit of toe, and set up one try with a nice long pass and earned a repeat set with a chip over the fullback.

Johnson's a superstar, but Chad's been the more impressive today.

Every person who wears 1 through to 7 can leave cronulla and look better and when they get here we make them look ordinary

I'd say Sezer , he is carrying the titans and is a left side player and he looked good next to Kelly . Barba can play a similar style to Kelly

Lower your expectations. DCE or someone of his quality is no longer avaliable. We've got to settle for what's left over. Hodgkinson would be fine. If we come halfway through the season and we still haven't signed anybody and Chad is the best of what's left, then we pick him up. We're Cronulla remember, we don't get nice things.

Mitch Cornish. Who watched his game yesterday? We need to get him away from Canberra. There is 10 years of quality half backing in that guy.

No doubt you are right, but we don't do that sort of thing as Crazy Matt says.... We don't get nice or good things.

I would love him here, but I think he'll stay at Canberra. They love him there and he'll get a good deal. Unfortunately we're probably a better chance of landing Sam Williams :/

Now the board seem adamant they wont want Carney back. The press has Flanagan saying 'we dont want carney' yet in the interview he never says those words. What if Flanno says to the board that 'i need him' while its compensating a lack of ability to bring the best out of our team, clearly we need Carney.

After all the bull**** i lost a lot of love for TC, he was my favourite player for a lot of years. But i would happily take him back now. Apparently the board has offered him a meeting next week (which is probably more a money talking thing) but why pay someone money for nothing, when you could potentially pay them money for services. Do it.

If it blows up in our face, we are no worse off than we are now
