Austin would be a good signing for a few reasons. He wants a starting spot, which he can easily have, but his utility value is immeasurable.

Neither Brown or Austin have the ability to direct a team or a consistent kicking game. They would be a bottom 4 combination.
We need a proper half back who can run this team. Clearly not many are available.
Austin and Brown are good runners of the ball and will tackle but we need more than that to take this team forward.

Bingo, he's the one that we are supposedly interested in. I think he's only halfway through a long-term contract with Widnes though. Again, it's only a rumour so could be BS.

It's always hard to judge halves in super league, but he came up against Blake Green's side the other day, and he completely outplayed the future-Storm-numpty. Widnes' squad looks weak yet they are in the top 8, he might be doing alright.
