Spot on. Give me the old days when Alan Clarkson, Ian Heads, Ray Chesterton or John O'Reilly just wrote about the game. They didn't go into personalities, they didn't sit out at hotels waiting for some footballer to disgrace himself, they just wrote what happened in the game.

It won't get any better it will get worse. And it's probably the general public you can blame. There are so many unintelligent people out there who buy trash magazines and believe every bit of tripe that is written. We've seen it on here. Someone starts a rumour and before you know it everyone starts believing it. It's how these scum make money. They write some story that is hyped up, people believe it and keep buying the papers and trash magazines, readership goes up and the scum journo gets a raise or bonus.
If there weren't so many gullible people in the world the standard of journalism might be a bit better. Might.
