Yep I would love Matai, but we have tried and tried over the years to get him, pretty clear he doesn't want to play here.

He's not getting any younger though, has Hiku re-signed with manly yet? They may need to make some cap space?

Lyon seems content finishing up at manly, i doubt he would want to hurt his name and career by coming to the Sharks. Same can be said for Matai.

After playing four games in 2012 becoming the first Victorian born and bred player to represent Storm at first grade level, Mahe Fonua featured 13 times for Storm in 2013, becoming a dangerous attacking option on the wing.

The 21-year old featured in Melbourne’s opening 10 games of the year before spending parts of the second half of the season with Storm’s Queensland Cup affiliate Brisbane Easts, which included a Grand Final appearance for the Tigers.

He returned to the NRL side later in the season, playing an important role in Melbourne wins against Canberra and South Sydney, scoring a hat-trick against the Raiders in Storm’s record breaking victory.

Fonua made his international debut mid year for Tonga against Samoa and added to his international experience later in the year, making two appearances at the Rugby League World Cup.

The centre excited fans with his enterprising play last year and will be looking for opportunities to break into Craig Bellamy’s first team in 2014 after making four appearances towards the back end of last season.
