Ennis gets plenty of media commitments, so moving to Canberra will curtail that I would think which isn't great considering it's the back end of his career and that is were his post game employment may well be. So I rekon we are still in there with a big chance if we miss the souths guy I would think we throw 3 years @ $500k for sure, I would prefer that 3rd year in our favour but knowing us we may give him 4 with no options..

We can make a play at ennis, and other than dogs realistically we are in the perfect position to sign him over raiders. But maybe our recruitment is going to target younger talent in weaker areas (back line) and see if we can fill 3 hooker spots with quality without inflation. Ennis is worth 500k on the simple fact he plays 80. We have 2 hookers doing what ennis does and ennis outplays both of them put together. But u still need to fill the squad. Happy if we could sign him, but hope he isnt our first choice

Happy to get Ennis having a 80 min hooker would be great then we could stop wasting a player on the bench and atleast 2 interchanges like we do now.
