Surely Locke would be a better option than Benji. He'd be a great, running foil for Carney.

Gordon will be great running off benji.

Benji always had vision for moltzen etc.

Carney doesnt use his fullbacks running game to his advantage.

benji has been playing fullback for the blues and doing well just the team is full of super stars that he's not getting a good run he would go well at fullback for the sharks

I'd be putting Benji in the halves. I just can't see him at fullback standing his ground to take a bomb while over half a tonne of the enemy pour through with the intent of steamrolling him.

Totally agree. It's incredible how little respect Gordon gets on these forums. He's in a team with next to no attacking flair through misfiring halves, and still looks dangerous. Plus Gordon is rock solid defensively. I'd not give that up for the possibility of some extra attack from the back. And our defense is seriously suspect... Not sure what people are thinking...

Yep, Gordon mightn't have played brilliantly of late but he doesn't even flinch when he's taking the ball and about to be crunched.

Agree flash might be batting at 75% efficiency at the moment but there are alot more guys well under that in the team currently in my opinion.. Carney / Marshall 6/7 not bothered let them decide, Todd
Might enjoy someone else as our go up man for awhile, robbo/ jmo sharing 9.. Then let's strap ourselves in and start our eels like run toward the grand final

he doesnt flinch? he doesnt even ****in contest it lately

There was one mix up last week, but the other shark was an inch away from a falcon. Don't think you can blame Gordon for that one. It's disturbing how negative you've beenSnowman, for someone so vocal. If it were aimed in the right direction it wouldn't be so bad, but picking out Gordon in this team is misdirected.

Straya ****!
We should've been able to stop that Boyd Cordner try last week, was a bit soft.

His only fault then was probably trusting carney anyone else in the front line would of atleast slowed cordner and Gordon would of helped but carneys 80/90 kilos couldnt even slow cordner down thats how bad carney is

Thats a bit harsh. He has been better than solid. Maybe we are finally starting to expect a bit more from out players. Two years ago he was a godsend because the quality at the back of out defence had been questionable at best. We got what we wanted but what you should expect from a FB has been raised again, and unfortunately, Gordon is lacking behind in speed and ability.

Generally I feel confident when Gordon is taking the ball, more so than any Cronulla fullback we've had for a long time. He's been good as last line of defence too.

He's had a few bad games of late but I'm confident that he'll prove his critics wrong before too long.
