Gordon cant finish a backline sweep. Usually goes himself and ignores the opportunities that the winger and center can take if he popped the short ball to the center or the long ball to the wing. He creates the three on two but is either selfish and runs it himself or he is scared of the intercept.

His only fault then was probably trusting carney anyone else in the front line would of atleast slowed cordner and Gordon would of helped but carneys 80/90 kilos couldnt even slow cordner down thats how bad carney is

Carney actually brought Cordner down where he needed to reach, someone should have some over the top and secured the ball

Thats a bit harsh. He has been better than solid. Maybe we are finally starting to expect a bit more from out players. Two years ago he was a godsend because the quality at the back of out defence had been questionable at best. We got what we wanted but what you should expect from a FB has been raised again, and unfortunately, Gordon is lacking behind in speed and ability.

Dont think its harsh, if you have been remotely satisfied with a full back who has 0 tries and doesnt attempt to catch the ball, good for you.

I expect more.

What exactly did we expect, though? Gordon's a good player in his own right, but we signed him at a point in his career where he would be slowing down and no longer be at his best. There's more to being a fullback than taking bombs. He was never going to stay as fast as he once was, given his injuries. If he was 10 years younger I wouldn't be worried, and would be willing to give him time. We were always going to have to replace him after 3 or so years, which made it seem like a strange signing tbh. However, he had some great performances last year and would love to eat my words. :)

I just mean in terms if performance. People have said it all along. If we don't start expecting more from our players we will always be content with mediocrity. I have been remotely satisfied with his performance but that doesn't mean I don't want better results from a FB.

Yeah dogs are probebly just trying to inflate his price so we can't afford Ennis as well

Dogs are becoming one of my more hated sides. Every name off contracts is mentioned in the same sentence as the bulldogs. This has to be BS so they can **** other clubs about with the salary cap

He looks fat to me. That's where his speed is.
