I don't post a lot of rumours on here, but I hope this isn't true.

Hearing Graham to the Dogs on a 2 year deal,
This info came from the same person who was correct about Fifita.

Now I pray, that this is bull****

He'd have to command 400-500k in the current climate. Canterbury can afford that??? Next year they need new contracts for Ennis, Morris and Cory Thompson ( who won't be a bargain based on recent form). Add this to 850k Fifita, 300k Lichaa, 700k James Graham and money tied up with Tolman/Eastwood/Inu/Pritchard/Williams/Hodkinson/Reynolds/Perrett/ etc, and it looks a bit far fetched.

Unless they've been front ending every contract for about 2-3 years so players essentially cost less next year. Can that be done?

no way they could afford him, 850k for Fifita and 700k for graham and that is over 1.5 million
for just two players. not to mention their other highly paid players. i think they will have to
let some players go.
i cannot see how they can sign any more big name players.

The allowances now allow marquee players to be paid outside the cap and long serving players to only contribute 300k toward the cap all overs are accomidated, i did some digging.
Cameron smith is a long serving player as it billy slater and cooper cronk as well as smith being a marquee, allowing them to have that many players on high salaries.
Bulldogs have put fifita and josh morris on the marquee players allowing them to pay off the cap, there long serving players only contribute 300k as i said before. -however they have aknowledged to the NRL that they are (at this stage) over the cap for the 2015 season. So they will need to release a number of players to accomidate this.

Nice to see that Ennis wants a contract long term like Smith, he must think he is in the same class or will fit in to the long service brigade

In your head, rent free
i didnt get that at all from ennis, he said he wants a long deal like smith, not because he is smith. its his last contract he will get in australia, and he wants maximum revenue for it.
