Yep but the Average Guy may be at the dolphins, titans,Cowboys, Broncos now before the Storm. Covid also mucks their production line development wise, Dolphins are in town now.

Sorry, I really don’t mean any offence, but I really think thats a bit of a straw grab mate. Melbourne always have a succession plan.

Dolphins have offered Paulo a massive deal. Hearing it’s 4 years and minimum 500k more than what parra have offered.

I don’t get the Paulo hype, he is good but they way he has been talked about is crazy.

Nah he's good. I'm probably not paying a million a season for him but can see why the Dolphins would want him as a marque forward.

He also absolutely fills one of our main weaknesses in our team imo.

I'm coming around to these types of deals unfortunately... there's just not enough high quality players out there to spread the wealth amongst.
Your best bet it to have a strong nursery like Penrith or bullet proof culture (of finding creative ways to play players extra...) like the Storm or Roosters

On 700-800k a year I would take Paulo.

He is what we need and will compliment our pack perfectly. Would be great to have him and Finucane both start at prop.

Yeah, he's definitely the pick of the available props and would go great here. I think we'd need Fifs to hang up the boots first, and I don't think he'll do that in time

Isn't Paulo for 2023, which coincides with Fifita's last year?

I must be of the minority then, IMO he has peaked and will be nothing notable in a year or 2.

Oh, is he? Well that's a horse of a different colour... In that case the board and Fitz are disgraceful failures and need to resign if they don't get Paulo's pen to paper

No I think that's defn a risk.

He'll be 29 by the time he joins, so a big money deal might see similar value from Fifita in the latter years. A contract similar to Fifita's where the last few years are less could be a smart move. Might mean the first few years are huge though if we're that keen on him as it's going to take more than 800k per season imo

Current Cowboys is a demonstration of tieing up a high portion of your salary cap fundage on a premier forward.

Also a demonstration of other stupidities.
