He'll be 29 by the time he joins, so a big money deal might see similar value from Fifita in the latter years. A contract similar to Fifita's where the last few years are less could be a smart move. Might mean the first few years are huge though if we're that keen on him as it's going to take more than 800k per season imo

That's why I'd be worried about a 4 year deal. If you could get him for 3 I would be keen to pay 800.

I still think there are better ways to spend it though.

No, I get this and its a concern of mine as well.

I think Paulo is bloody good, but giving him a four year deal gives me Four Year Fifita vibes. If we get him for two, ****ing ideal, i’d settle for three.
