You know I don’t think I’ve ever seen such blind faith in a rookie coach that a lot of our supporter base, including some on here, has for Fitz. It’s quite strange. Im not sure if I’m worried about that or encouraged LOL.

I think it could be something to do with the lousy season we’ve had. We’re all looking for some kind of hope for 2022.

All the reports we’ve heard say that Fitz is no nonsense, a hard task master, a defensive genius and someone with the experience of working alongside a top rated head coach.

I think it’s only natural to think there is a miracle around the corner.

Half is blind faith in the same way people have blind faith in anyone who hasn’t or has barely played NRL being better than the NRL player they don’t like

The other half is blind faith the Bomber sacking mess won’t have been for nothing / the back end of one rebuild rolling straight into a new one
which half do you fall into?

Heard a rumour Nikora asked for a release to join Warriors

I considered that too when I chucked a few names out earlier but just thought he might not like to move somewhere he drops down the pecking order.

The third half, optimistic but not running on blind faith
Lot of unknowns about next season but definitely some stuff to be excited for

Wouldn’t be disappointed.

You look at the size of the forward packs for the top 4 teams this year and despite the new quicker game the Sharks forward pack players are dwarfed.

On average the forward packs of the top 4 teams from this year were 4kg heavier PER Player…….
(That includes 8,10,11,12,13,15,16,17)
It’s a big difference. Especially given Woods is like the heaviest player and is a complete marshmallow.

Sharks forward pack are lightweights, make terrible yardage, can’t get off the line defensively, don’t slow the play AT ALL and miss millions of tackles.

Need to sign at least 1 big strong prop.

Happy for Nikora to go.

My thoughts were it is probably Nikora. Am not fussed if it is. But I do think he will become a reasonably good second rower. Would be happy to get Sims to replace him and have a bigger strong player for next year and Wilton take Nikora's spot in the pecking order.

Would love to have this guy on board as well.

He must be one of the few guys who hardly ever gets put on the ground when he goes into the tackle. You can even see the determination on his face that he's not going to ground. He's going to stay on his feet as long as he possibly can and pop that impossible pass.
I’m sure battling to stay on your feet was something we were supposed to not want (Woods)?

Welch does it for a good reason though. Sucks in defenders and then pops that miracle ball.
Woods does too, grinds out a lot of PCMs and (approx 1/3 as many) offloads.

Welch def better just thought it was funny standing in tackle for ages was suddenly a pro
