its like if he didnt make a 70m individual break he had a bad game

the australian loss to tonga was blamed on him - that part is laughable

not bad for a lazy player

but if like samshark you want your centres to be battering rams and helps your forwards out, then ricky leutele is better than latrell mitchell in hit ups per game

Once he's on 800k-1mil that becomes a lot more reasonable - when you are on the big money you really do need to make an impact almost every game.
Wherever he moves he is going to be under a microscope still - perhaps even more if he shifts to FB

He was one of a number of bad performers in the game against Tonga... virtually the whole team let themselves (and us) down.

More than anything Latrell is a victim of the fact people know the freakish stuff he can do, and the game winning impact he can have, so when he falls short of that they notice.

There's no argument Latrell is the best centre in the game with ball in hand. The main criticism of him is how often he gets the ball in hand. He's achieving all he is, despite going missing for huge parts of games. If his work rate picked up, he'd easily be worth a mil a year.

Mitchell is a generational talent. Superstar status already. The things he lacks are things that are naturally learned over time anyway, but the things he does have can’t be taught no matter what.

But it’s the Roosters who have a lock on media spreading their agenda it’s crazy how much power they have, I wish we had a chance to go after Latrell

I think the question is moreso whether you are getting value for money. At $1m you are either gambling on him succeeding at fullback or you are giving “spins” money to a non spine player. No use having one of the best finishers out wide if you can’t afford to have good players inside him.

Didn't say he was better or worse defensively, just pointing out that there is a broader criteria than the narrow range you focused on. Those other contributions matter more in different teams, who all have different needs based on their rosters and cultures.
