He's Tino as far as I'm concerned.

He looks promising but another potentially risky signing for a Titans team already carrying big money, underperforming forwards like Boyd, Peach and Cartwright (Proctor and Wallace too maybe)

imo the titans won't be re signing any of them once their deals are up.
Peach will go back to sydney
cartwright will end up in england
the warriors will sign proctor
boyd will end up on weightwatchers
wallace hopefully ****s off to england to

Mitchell is over rated. Goes missing and doesn't put in a lot and is high maintenance off the field. Wouldn't pay him anything over $500k. Give me Joey Manu any day.

for a player that goes missing, he scored 19 tries last year - manu has 21 in his career

stop this crap narrative, manu is another that cant fill mitchells boots

Mitchell had a great half of the year then played like a reserve grader for the rest of it; including the GF. Not worth the money.
And he does go missing. Doesn't like helping the forwards and taking hitups like the centres are required to do these days.

Yep.

Feels like there is a bit of a smear campaign.

The guy is that good.

He does everything with ease.

I don't think wanting more (or at least shopping around for more) than the Roosters offer is at all outrageous.

its like people believe the media that he dropped his bundle after origin

he didnt, he got better, but you wont read about it

all you will read is he downed tools and complained

opposite happened, he scored more and did more

easily

Manu is a good solid centre, Roosters wouldn't keep him if he wasn't up to their standard. He does a job for them at a price they are happy with.
Hard to say how much of a victim he is (regarding try stats above for example) of being a right centre in a team that plays to the left. But presumably Mitchell is also a factor in why they play to the left.

Mitchell has some issues but is definitely an elite player and will have a better game than Manu far more often than the other way around.
I do think Mitchell is a huge gamble to take at a 1mil a year with the promise of a fullback spot, if he can get the opportunity to try for the fullback spot and 800k he should be happy. He's no hope of any consistent fullback at Roosters so if that is what he wants leaving is definitely the right move, otherwise 800k a year to stay with them at centre was a good offer and he should have taken it.

He has the natural skills and athleticism to be a very good fullback, however fullback would also highlight his weaknesses if he can't work through those, definitely at this stage he is an elite centre though.

Yep so they'll pay something for next year only.

$333k per year isn't bad for him but I suspect they want him for fullback, where he sucks.

He's a good winger for that price, and a good cover fullback. You don't want him as your fullback #1 though.

manu is a good centre, but saying you would take him over latrell is just down right laughable

what a centre should be judged on;

Tries: Latrell Mitchell 2nd, Joseph Manu 47th

Line Breaks: Latrell Mitchell 10th, Joseph Manu 49th

Tackle Breaks: Latrell Mitchell 30th, Joseph Manu 33rd

not bad for a lazy player

but if like samshark you want your centres to be battering rams and helps your forwards out, then ricky leutele is better than latrell mitchell in hit ups per game

If you take price out of the equation I take Latrell 11 times out of 10
He will win you far more games than he loses you and far more games than Manu can win you
