HB.. Barba ain’t no ordinary fullback, I don’t think age stops players of his caliber that’s usually their prime.. they just get smarter.

The main thing is he can get more out of our backline then Val does, especially Dugan and Morris

Yep agree with that.

I'm not ready to see the back of Val though, not many players can do what he does.

My preference is to do the swap in 2020. Let Barba find his feet at the Cows, he's been out of NRL for a bit.

I want to see Val pushed to the wing at the Cowboys because apparently they can both fit there.

No doubt those in the media deriding the Sharks for playing on the wing will be all for it if it means he’s in Queensland.

I’d send him now.

Val’s form will drop knowing he’s signed a big deal elsewhere, plus his management will be pushing for the swap now and if doesn’t happen that will mean disappointment for him and the missus, if anyone thinks the Barba to Boys deal (under the same management mind you), was done for any other reason shake the rocks out your head.

But I’d be pushing for more than just BB, it’s no straight swap and anyone’s dog can see that, we need a sweetener!

Ethan Lowe can’t get a run there, done deal.

I'm of the opinion its best to let him go as well. Rather have Barba a year younger and if he brings his Super League Form, he's likely to be a better option than Val this year anyway.

Also, I'd rather rip the bandaid off quickly rather than spend all year thinking about it.

Reckon we'll know soon anyway. Cowboys could make an offer November 1, then a 10 day cooling off period...

McLean would be good.

Slater retired at 35 and there was nothing stopping him going around again for a another few years.

So theoretically we could have Barba for another 4 years or longer.

Mini and Bowen are two players that come to mind. Mini played till 34, didn’t he? Had more injuries early in his career than towards the end

Not sure if this is opinion or fact , from other forum
Either way some things could change quickly

Flanagan monitoring the immediate coach swapping situation between Bennett/Seibold. If it is a straight swap for the 2019 season, a lot of players will be unsettled at Brisbane and want to follow Bennett to Souths, however Souths do not have the cap room to accommodate. Flanagan knows we lack depth as it currently stands and will look to pounce on disgruntled Broncos players if the swap comes to fruition for next season

Slater was a total professional though, Benny not so much.

So hearing rumours parra are shopping around Kane Evans already. He did nothing at Parra/Wentworthville but always been a massive fan when at Roosters. Can Flanno get his arse into gear??? I would love him at sharks.
