That’s the funniest part, they knew his defence sucked and was only getting worse.

It’s almost as if no one watched him last year except sharks fans LOL

And the best part is people still think Penrith won the trade hahahaha

Haha so true.

Maloney (accidentally) made some big hits in a game at the start of the year and people were raving about his defence. I guess that’s gone.

Barba's management apparently about to announce signing a deal with an NRL team within the next 2 weeks. Any ideas if we are in the mix still? This was reported on Fox News by Peter Badel.

The longer Holmes is taking to make a decision the more i'm leaning towards getting Barba. It's going to be a monumental F Up if we go from having Holmes or Barba to no one in 202. I know we have Dugan and Moylan as options but I don't think Dugan can handle FB any more and Moylan is well on his way to being a gun 5/8th if not already.

We aren't in a good situation at all with this.

Holmes waiting to the end of the year means he isn't certain he is staying. If he does leave than we lose out on Barba also.

Then we probably shift Dugan to fullback? And then we need another centre, which I don't think we have in the juniors. Not one that is ready anyway.

Barba and Val share a manager. You'd think if Barba was keen to come back and Val was out the door come November that it could be easily arranged.

I don’t know where the DCE talk is coming from but it would be appealing to grab him and put Moylan to fullback.

The good thing about our situation is that we can be flexible with who we get as a replacement. We can buy a fullback, centre or half. I’d much rather enter the market with that type of scope rather than having to look for one particular type of player.

Good post.

We’ve still got a year to work it out too. A lot can change between now and then as far as contracts or players being unearthed.

We have Xerri coming through but he'll most likely only get a few games next year (when one of Morris or Dugan is injured) and be ready in 2020

Melbourne, but grew up in the Shire
How many did Phil Blake play for. 6???

That would make it his 6th club if he ends up at the Eels.
So many more clubs and so little time!
Not sure he will get his wish at playing for every NRL club before he retires.
11 clubs to go and only maybe 2-3 seasons left.
He would need to do multiple mid season transfers from here one would think!

Yeah, it was 6. Same as Noddy. But the one that always gets me is a 90's player called Darrien Doherty who played 60-odd games over 7 clubs.

If Val goes this would be a great option.

The pencil necked **** is a great player and exactly what the team needs in the halves.

Moylan is playing fullback in attack anyway pretty much.

honestly think this kid is gonna be a lot better then scott

Probably too early to tell. There’s been plenty who tore through juniors like him and turn out to be nothing. Looking good so far, but I’m not getting carried away, let’s wait and see.
