So, if true, he is breaking his contract.

Interviewed December 2014

Not how executive appointments work. There would be options/exit clauses.

Its really disappointing. He's the best in his field and has made a huge difference to the Club. Personally, I don't have a lot of faith in the Board to go out and get someone with integrity and talent to replace him. I fear a jobs for the boys appointment.

Someone mentioned Raelene Castle. She seemed a pretty smart operator, and for the most part, the media left her alone.

It sounds like there has been some kind of falling out.

There's been some rumours floating around for awhile. I think it was something with the footy club side of things wanting to run their own show. No matter who is in the job, that'll always be an issue unless it's a yes-man.

Did she do well though?

From an outsiders standpoint, they don't seem to be any better off than when she got there. That club seems to have gone backwards if anything. I don't really know their internal workings though.

The club should pass on Raelene Castle. The Dogs have definitely gone backwards during her time.

Rothfield tonight claimed we are the front runners for Mitch Pearce is he leaves the Roosters. He says this would allow us to release Maloney. Claims Flanno has been on the phone to Pearce's manager many times.

Why on earth would we want to swap Maloney for Pearce. Did we not see what happened to the Roosters in 2016 and what happened to us?

You really are a massively stressed unit - have you sought help?

I'm glad the club is at least thinking seriously about Pearce. He isn't Cooper Cronk, but he is not to be sneezed at at club level. Not to mention Jimbo has been way to big for his boots this year.

What seems to be the biggest clue that we're making a determined play for Pearce is the fact that Gal's has been commenting publicly about the situation.

Saying that Pearce has no choice but to walk and throwing in a few subtle compliments along the way.

Of course I'm stressed, I'm a sharks supporter who endured 35 years of pain before they won a premership! I don't want to wait another 35 years. Can anyone seriously say Pearce is a better option than Maloney?

I want Pearce but not at the expense of Maloney. I think we should look to sign Pearce on a 3 yr deal at halfback and give Maloney a 2 year extension and say goodbye to chad. That way we will have a solid half’s combo for the next three years. They’ve played and won a comp together before I think they could do it again.

That would be the ideal footballing move but Chad does a good job at 2/3 the price of either a newly signed Pearce or extended Maloney. There is no point having an impotent back line or half arsed forwards to accommodate great halves.

I can't see Maloney and Pearce playing together here.
