Yep no Barba, no Ennis.

Kearey made the difference for the Roosters this year, as Maloney did for them prior to joining us. Pearce didn't therefore they recruited Cronk.

So u are arguing about maloney/pearce then blame our poor season on 2 absent players. 2016, roosters had no pearce for a third of the year, cordner missed a heap of footy, debutant fb, rookie halves pairing.........

I reckon Maloney created half chances in '16 that Barba turned into points and we missed that in '17.

Agree with you that a lot went wrong for the Roosters in '16 but their Chairman admits they made a big mistake letting Maloney go. I just don't understand why our club seems to want to get rid of him after one poor season.

Moylan I sort of understand as he has more years ahead of him, but if we are banking our future on Pearce I'm not so sure. If it's a Pearce/Maloney combo I'm cool with that.

Sorry for sounding like a looney, I like most of us are just passionate and don't want to see us go back to mediocrity.

In your head, rent free
That would be the ideal footballing move but Chad does a good job at 2/3 the price of either a newly signed Pearce or extended Maloney. There is no point having an impotent back line or half arsed forwards to accommodate great halves.

I can't see Maloney and Pearce playing together here.

Chad is being paid more than Maloney by a significant margin

Thats Maloneys issue

Cos maloney is the 1 that wants to leave mate. Youre right their chairman did voice his regret over losing maloney. But unlike the sharks the roosters wont dwell on it for the next 15 years either

But we all know if maloney negotiated his contract starting 2018 this would not be the case. And the fact hes a year behind is maloneys fault

Keary should be the number 1 target. Apparently the roosters low balled him as well and he isn't too happy.

Get in his ear now and offer maloneys contract and a bit extra

I'm still not sold in Keary. I'd take him, probably over Maloney at the moment, but not for big money.

At least he tries. Unlike the head high machine.

just read that roosters have no plans on releasing pearce. they see him as an integral part of there future and he won't be going anywhere.

I think next year we will see pearce at 6 with keary in the 14 jersey

They're just playing the PR game. Roosters say "we want him to stay," even though they know if he does they'll be well over the cap. Cronk says "we need to put the team first," even though he knows Pearce makes way for him, and not the other way around.

All it means is when Pearce walks, they don't look like the bad guys.

Can a journo ask Robinson directly how three goes into two and who will start on the bench?

And when they do come on who are they going to replace? Are we meant to see a three person halves rotation? If not, is Mitchell or Luke going to play out of position?

Does Cooper want to buy into the "Roosters culture" and play hooker or centre or something?
