Yea the Storm would have a QLD game 3 like mentality in a GF rematch against us - would be extremely difficult to get it over them again in the big dance, I think those ****s would just click and play near perfectly
Unfortunately I don't see how they won't make the GF unless we got on the same side of the playoff draw and somehow met them in a prelim or something but that would probs be at AAMI so **** that

Manly & Brissy worry me come finals time as they just seem to know how to play us (even though our recent record against broncs is decent) we are a rabble up against Manly but we have stepped up against them in that arena a few years back so who knows

this winning the comp thing is a tough business

Definitely not. Can't see us beating the Storm two years in a row. IF we get that far and it's a big IF, then much rather play another team...except Manly, we can never beat those assholes.

I reckon if anyone was to knock Melbourne out in the prelim that team would go on to lose the GF for sure.

Agreed. They would have played their gf a week early. If Smith stays fit, which is not a given at his age, the rest of the comp is competing for the right to play Melbourne in the gf IMO.

That said they'd hate to meet us again I reckon. All the pressure would be on them to make amends.

Yes agree with this, CHOGM, it happens quite a bit. I remember in 99 Carlton pipped Essendon in the prelim who were by far the best team in the comp, massive favourites. Carlton were never, ever going to win the GF the next week.
