Read today there is some sort of talk around Cronk to newcastle, and also that newcastle would allow Cronk to stay in sydney through hte week and just come up for the game/late week training runs.....thats not a lot of value for someone who will get about a mil for the season, and isnt there doing work with the inexperienced halves that they do have. They might be a bit competitive for 1 season then back to what they were. Not a good long term move for them but whatever

That would be a terrible move for Newcastle. If you're only gonna get for a year, 2 max, you gotta milk every bit of knowledge, leadership & experience out of him. Especially with such a young squad - RossDogg was blown away by Chad during CvC ****en imagine training with Cronk! I'd go as far to say that if Cronk did everything but play for Newy for 2018 they'd get more out of it than him just rocking up to play.

Seen him on Sterlo and his main driver seems to be helping improve other players, so I doubt he'd be interested in that scenario anyway. I'd say he takes up a gig with Fox and maybe dabble in some coaching, and/or a wait a bit then dive right into coaching. Maybe an assistant for QLD.

I don't take much notice of Union. How's he been going?
Waratahs are garbage so he doesn't get much good ball. You put him in a kiwi side he would be a world beater. Having said that the week in physicality of league would/ could catch him

The last I saw, he was the only person in Australia that could actually play the game.

In all seriousness , he'd be an awesome buy on Dugan money .
But good luck to the Tigers , if they land him at fullback they will be infinitely better off than before the ship abandonment .

Folau would probably be a good buy now, a few years older and it could end up like Lote Tuquiri's return via the tiges & bunnies. By then he was 1/3 of the player he'd been.

If it was any chance you'd sign Izzy in a heart beat. Hasnt he used the nrl to up his price the last 2 times though? Cant see him going anywhere, but doesnt hurt to make an offer.

Old news. Chambers signed last Wednesday for Roosters. Don't be surprised they also get Gagai. I'm hearing between Roosters (who are well advanced with talks) and Souths.

If Easts have signed Chambers I don't believe they're chasing Gagai, no chance.
