So given we offered Bird the biggest Sharks contract ever, we have some cash to splash next year. I think we need a strike centre and winger, then probably a high potential middle forward. What do others think?

Be interesting to know whether we scratched together our offer to Bird through a back-ended contract or whether we had the space left to allocate in our year by year cap.

A few things like upping our offer to Townsend, giving an extra year to Gal and Lewie etc may now be possible because Bird is packing his bags.

While that is true we also need to replace Bird. I guess there is the option of keeping Beale and spending the money elsewhere.
