I could be proven wrong here very soon depending on when & who Tigers appoint head coach but would ya really take the job at Tigers or Warriors? I know there are very limited opportunities when it comes to head coaching roles in NRL but those 2 are poison.

If I were a bloke like Cleary I'd hold on and wait to see what happens at Bulldogs and Saints. Tigers are heartless ****s and put on 39mins of effort because their scapegoat was gone and those slackers just looking for a new bloke to blame. Warriors got too many problems to name but they sack coaches like its nothin' while the same problems persist.

Yeah I agree mate. If you're a young coach trying to get your first gig then you probably take what you can get. Cleary obviously isn't though and can afford to sit back and wait, just depends how long he wants to wait. If I was him my first choice out of those three would 100% be Canterbury.

In your head, rent free
if i were any coach waiting for a gig, saints would be my first pick

they are the closest team to being the finished product in terms of pieces and prospects, and also have ben hunt coming on board

tough call on second between the dogs and warriors, but probably the warriors just edges out the dogs but i cant see kearney getting the arse this year so its the dogs.
they are a mess though. their backs are ****, their forwaards are ordinary and their halves are woeful.

tigers are the bottom of the barrel. the self proclaimed "Big 4" are 1 elite fullback, one over rated caveman and 2 halves living on media hype. moses could become an elite player but he looks like he is regressing rather then progressing.
they really don't have any other pieces you would be proud of bar nofoaluma and maybe liddle. maybe.
other than that, pass. their team is **** house.

their board is also a toxic mess

Tigers have apparently signed Chris Mcqueen from the titans for Kurt Capewell from the sharks for 2018.

thought capewell was a priority signing for us, think that will be one that bites us in the bum if true he's leaving.

Why would he ever of been a priority signing for us?

Surprised I'm the only one that saw this and nobody has mentioned it here but in the Sunday paper it stated that the sharks had been in negotiations with Josh Reynolds. Shocking I know, but that's what it said, hopefully nothing more than a NSW cup calibre contract.

I doubt we are entertaining a guy like reynolds with his wishful asking price when we are already negotiating with another guy with high demands

10 years is such a long time in Rugby League. If you get it wrong you're disabling yourself for a decade. That's 1/5 of our entire history. A couple of wrong deals on top of that can completely derail a club.

It's just too much risk IMO.

I'd sooner make it shorter deal with higher pay. If it's stinks you're out of it quicker.

Look at the DCE deal. He may or may not come good. But that deal is not seen quite so sweet only a year (?) later and he hasn't even had an injury or anything. Things change.

I was thinking about this over the weekend. Toops was a deadset gun when we signed him for five years, imagine if we signed him for 10?

Sharks interested in Woods and Reynolds - A Big No for both IMHO.

We have some good talent coming thru :) I'll back them thanks, plus we have Fifita, Prior, Latimore and Dillion. So I'm happy
