Someone on Talkin Sport today reckons that there's been a fallout within the ranks and that Lewis wants an immediate release to join the Rorters. If that's the case they must be close to the salary cap and may need to offload a player or two.

I don't know if there's any truth to it, but that bloke often talks **** about Cronulla.

It was Shane FFS... he does it deliberately so he can see it brought up on places like LU... a complete dickwad.

Yep and it followed a favorable call from Chad, so I guess he felt obliged to say something negative.

One of the worst callers to the show.

Adrian takes the cake, although they could be the same person because they sound similar.

Glad you were listening Slide, thanks mate. Felt that Graeme Hughes was a bit condescending though. His sign off, "Good luck with all of that Chad," registered a high 10 on the sarcasm meter. He clearly doesn't think we'll do any good this year.

Shane is an ex Bear supporter who for some reason switched to the Storm and has put through many below par calls on the Sharks. He's continually whinged about us being in the comp, funny stuff coming from a guy who's club was actually kicked out. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Adrian hasn't got a positive bone in his body, complete ********. The best caller is Andy who always sounds tanked but I reckon he's a plant. Surely he's part of the show, no ones that drunk all the time.

'Lurker' believes the club offered him around and noone wanted him. Actually, he spun that to be that the Sharks FAILED in their attempt to offload him

Good call as always Chad.

I actually don't think they were overly sarcastic towards you. I just think they get a bit lost when you start talking about West Brom. :glasses-cool:

Thanks mate. They shouldn't get lost when I talk about West Brom, it is a sports show and Gav Robbo is a Baggies fan so they should have a bit more to say.

Directly after the call I got a text from a work colleague who's a Bulldog fan ribbing me about being happy about our prospects before a ball is kicked.

At 1.3M a season the titans can have dce.

yeah i agree mate. 1.1 would be the absolute max i would pay. and even then i dunno. He's obviously about the money, the interview with him i saw said that nobody had given him an offer where he was in a position to start that process. If clubs are already talking a mil for him and he isnt happy he needs to wake the **** up.

DCE will go straight to the highest bidder. IF we go cold at a mil or a bit more i dont think you could hold the club responsible for the non-signing.

It seems to basically be a carbon copy of the article written about the Sharks before xmas where we were going to offer him big big coin.

Im happy for the club to go cold on him at 1 mil. 1.1 max. I dont think any player in the NRL deserves more than that when they are using a 6.5M salary cap.
not really, the salary cap will be 6.8 next year then up to 7 in 2017, considering 10 years ago the cap was only 3.4 million and the top players were earning 600-700k paying 1.2 isn't really that bad

If anyone thinks we are going to get Evans here for 1m-1.1m then you are dreaming, it's going to take a heap to get him here, like the Titans are offering him if not more. The thing that will be intersting to me if we get him, is not how much money he will be getting, but how much money will be going into our salary cap
