This being a forum, i feel okay with respectfully disagreeing with you. I don't believe the number 7 is there to win you games in the way you suggest, especially as most teams split their halves and have them run separate sides of the field. Ican't believe I'm saying this, but my ideal number 7 was pretty much represented by the 2014 model Mitchell Pearce. The 7's job should be to organise the teams attack by identifying the best attacking opportunity at at given time. Whether that's a long kick for good field position, short side raid, run on the 5th or a dribble into the in goal for a repeat set.
I think robbos problem was he needed to organise too much of the play. This season, Ennis will take over running the general play so the halves can get the attack ready. and there's plenty of talent to score points,it's just a matter of getting better opportunities. It's going to be a very different team this year, more controlled and primed, with or without Robbo.
