If the only problem with Paulo playing is finding room in a fully fit side, then it's a good signing.
Like we'll ever play with a fully fit side again.

I watched Taka closely in yesterday's game and some of his defence was Ayshford-esque. A lot of shirt grabbing and heartless attempts at tackles. I've never paid him much attention so hopefully it was just an off day for him.

I'd be happy with Paulo if we didn't have Gal, Wade, Lewy, Heino, Toups, Arona and Sop already in that position. Not to mention Taga who should be in that position. It doesn't make sense... Unless they are buying him as a half. Can he play in the 7?

Broncos chasing gagai.. Two questions?
1) How the **** do they any money left in their cap?!
2) Are we in the hunt? If not.. Why?

Has played well at Newcastle! And would no doubt improve our backline.

i wish we had a crap centre like fonua who can carry 4 defenders across the line and score
Mate you could be right over time that he'll be a star centre but fonua to me is just a mistake riddled player. He has good games and terrible games and I can't say i'd be thrilled if we signed him.

if you are talking drop balls, he makes on average 1 per game, but that might not be a drop ball, he could get bundled into touch going for the corner?

i would be stoked if we signed him, he would be our best centre

Not hard to be our best centre.

Im convinced he would be a straight 5/10 at any other club. Besides roosters or Manly.

Wasn't Paulo playing in the halves in the 9s and looked pretty good and tricky? I know they've got 3 players with similar names but if I'm right I would be happy with that, at least he's a bit unpredictable.

Yeah dropped balls, silly passes to no one or over the sideline. Like the storms version of pomeroy nearly.

*Tupou

But yeah, our depth is already fine for next season, it's just the 2016 onwards where it's a thing to concern ourselves with. If we were to sign him he's not bad, but if we don't then *meh*, I won't shed tears.

Well thats the thing. Look at this year, we need good options. Make that 8-17 competitive. Add toops.

Fact is we lost every single player in our team this year once, except gordon (maybe arona). And our back up options have been terrible

yet you are convinced ricky will be a star? spade a spade, fonua is a better player and i love ricky

I think Ricky has more flair, a step and improvement.

Fonua is as someone said on this forum, a battering ram. A big body that just runs hard at the line. Basically a black pomeroy.
