Agreed snow, time to move on and sign according to what the side needs.

That is a dominate half that can organise the forwards with a strong kicking game with enough flair to hold his own as an attacker, that will allow Nu to play his natural game and takes over the running and x factor crap. This will also allow Nu to slowly chip in with his kicks as well and work him into the game.

Reynolds or Hunt would be ****ing killer. We would automatically turn into an attacking squad.

I really can't see Souths letting Reynolds go, especially if his combo with Keary keeps working which I suspect it will. That's not to say we shouldn't be throwing in an offer though.

Flanno's return may see the pressure amped up further to re instate Todd. If he does come back, I suspect he will be so injury prone that it will have little impact on Brown's role as 5/8.

If he comes back he can play 7. Brown at 6 and Ennis doing the organising like Farah does at Wests.

Robbo can hit up centre link

Even if Carney was to come back who is to say his form will make it worth while? Real hot and cold player and his mind and body won't all of a sudden be fixed and in perfect harmony. Has had more bad games than good this season for us

It's early days with Brown but he is showing signs of being a more solid consistent sort of player than Carney while still maintaining that elusiveness and X factor, he is at the early stages of his life yes but he looks a happy guy and heaps of passion

Playing Carney at 7 is the only bit that would appeal to me, but would not be a fan of bring him back to replace Brown at 6 who is our real future and already doing good things on the field

Robson cops **** but Carney also runs out of ideas at times and just resorts to drifting across field and throwing short flat bullet passes at the line which the runner usually drops
If Brown gets stuck he can always fall back onto his killer running game and has the young legs to really play to that strength of his for many seasons to come, has also shown a deft grubber in behind the line. He can also drift across field similar to Carney and draw in players

The starting side needs to start reflecting the guys who are good enough and importantly largely injury free. Guys like Lewis and Tupou and I'd add Carney if he comes back, need to have roles that don't leave a gaping hole everytime they're injured. And you can add Gal to that list which is why prop would be a good position for him now. It's an easier role to replace when he is injured/on rep duty without damaging the structure of the side. Lewis and Tupou should play off the bench. Carney I have no idea, but you could consider playing him off the bench like the cowboys did with Darren Smith at the end of his career.

I just don't think Carney will be injury free again in his career.

Spot on Sharkyboy, however the Broncos have about 3 or 4 really good fullbacks maybe we should start shopping around Brisvagas

Kasiano is a beast with skill and unlike Fifs runs straight

Would be great for us coming from the bench when Fifs gets a breather

We need genuine forwards and hope we are still considering him, I remember the rumours earlier in the year when fifs had signed with the dogs

Think you are right Fifs is not your normal prop, but what he does he does well. We need at Least 2 hard, straight running big men who can bend the line and hurt, and the big Kas could be one of em

You wouldn't pay $650k a season for a "normal" prop. We've signed Fifita for all his crabbing/fending/offloading glory, so he can continue to do that as far as I'm concerned. Gallen has openly said that he wants Fifita to just run straight so that his own job playing lock is easier. Captain courageous just cares about his own stats, probably why Fifita plays better without him there.
